I had an exceptional dining experience at Bombay Coast. The food was outstanding, especially the Shrimp Patia — perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and prepared with incredible authenticity. Every bite was a reminder of how good coastal Indian cuisine can truly be.
A special mention goes to Mr. Zubin, the warm and gracious host and chef. His hospitality made the experience even better. He took the time to check on us, share the story behind the dish, and made us feel genuinely welcomed.

We LOVE Bombay Coast for many reasons. The owner, Zubin, is so welcoming and kind. The food is delicious. Our go to items are the lamb korma, chicken tikka masala, and mango chicken masala. Most recently we tried the veg samosa chaat which was so flavorful. We often do takeout at Bombay Coast, but don’t sleep on the opportunity to dine in or on the patio, which is dog friendly. So, if you find yourself craving delicious Indian Food, please give Bombay Coast a try!

Excellent authentic Indian dishes with a Wow factor! We got the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Curry. Both were delicious with complex spices, tender melt in your mouth chicken, and just enough pepper heat to make them perfect. The dishes also included salads and naan. We will definitely return. Update: Got the 3 curry lunch special of Lamb Curry, Chicken Saag, and Chicken Tikka Masala, with salad and naan. Everything was excellent. The Chicken Saag melted in my mouth. This is our favorite Indian restaurant. Update: Dined in and got the Chicken Curry and the Shrimp Masala. Both were very delicious. The naan and salad were fresh and also excellent. The entrees are a bit pricey, but worth it. Update: Got the 3 curry lunch special of Green Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag, and Chicken Tikka Masala, with salad and naan. All 3 elicited a “WOW!”. This is by far the best Indian restaurant in San Diego. The meat is so tender and the flavors are amazing. Everything is made to perfection. The prices have increased, but are still worth it. Update: Got two 3 curry lunch specials. The first with Mango Chicken Curry, Honey Lemon Chicken, and Chicken curry. The second with Green Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag, and Chicken Tikka Masala. The Mango Chicken curry was borderline too sweet, but the others were all delicious. Update: Got the Shrimp Masala and the Fish Yellow Curry. The flavor of each was amazing. However for the prices, we expected a greater quantity of shrimp and fish in the entrees like at other restaurants. Update: Got two 3 curry lunch specials: Chicken Curry, Karahi Chicken, Chicken Dash; Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag. Everything was excellent! Update: Got 3 curry dinner combos: Chicken Tikka kabob, Beef Ball Curry, Green Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Korma. Each time we try something new, it’s excellent. This is definitely our favorite Indian restaurant. Update: Got a Mango Lassi drink, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry, Chicken Saag, and the new Earth Ginger Chicken Curry. The Mango Lassi was made with ripe mango and was very good. All of the curries we’re excellent as usual. However, the new Earth Ginger Chicken Curry was beyond Wow, it was amazing! It’s our new favorite. Update: Got the 3 Curry Lunch Specials: 2 Green Chicken Curry, 2 Chicken Curry, 1 Chicken Tikka Masala, and 1 Karahi Chicken. They now have a chutney bar! Everything was excellent! Update: Got the Green Curry Chicken and the Earth Ginger Curry Chicken. Both were excellent, with a “Wow!”. Update: Went for their 20th anniversary all day long buffet. As always, everything was excellent! Wishing them 30+ more years!!! Update: Got the Green Curry Chicken and the Earth Ginger Curry Chicken; and the Ras Malai dessert. Everything was excellent. Update: Got Green Curry Chicken and Honey Lemon Chicken. The curry was excellent and the lemon chicken was very good. This continues to be our favorite Indian restaurant. Update: Got the Curry Chicken appetizer, the Fried Eggplant appetizer, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything was excellent! Update: Got the Earth Ginger Chicken Curry and the Lamb Ginger Curry. Both were excellent!

Being from Bombay, I recommend. So delicious. The kheema pav is a must. Also enjoyed their malai chicken, shrimp patia and seekh kebab. The employees are very sweet too. Not the typical boring menu you will find at other restaurants. The food tastes like a home cooked meal that you will find in India when there is an occasion. Will definitely come back for the kheema pav alone.

god i love this place i’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. the owner is always in the store working and he’s so so nice (along with the staff). my boyfriend and i are super basic and always get chicken tikka masala but switch it up on the appetizer. we just had the veggie sliders and they were so ridiculously good.

I really enjoyed the food. We ordered a 3 entry combo and special lamb. The portions are large so we automatically get our lunch for the next day. Highly recommend the lamb and chicken. The lamb is soft and the yellow curry chicken has a great coconut flavor. I was here a few years ago, and they refreshed my impression of bombay coast as they did better than the bombay coast at UCSD (now closed). It’s great that the food quality is still high after many years.

Loved the keema pav, the mixed kabab combo and the Rasmalai. Not many places specialize in Parsi and western Indian cuisine (Bombay /Mumbai specific cuisine belonging to Parsi, konkan and East Indians). Unique gem situated in a nondescript neighborhood mall in Clairemont. Zubin, the owner is a charming person, his affable personality and pleasant smile made us feel at home.
People should try the Parsi cuisine items from the menu, they will definitely not be disappointed.
