Welcome to The Dearborn Coffeehouse and Bakery, Englewood’s premier coffeeshop. The Dearborn Coffeehouse started in 2013 as Joe Maxx Coffee. In 2023 we changed the name but kept the same award-winning coffee, pastries and service. We have been the recipient of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce’s Excellence in Business and the Community Champion Awards and Best Coffee Shop in Englewood from the Daily Sun for almost 10 years. Recently, we won the prestigious Best of Florida for 2024 and 2025!

This place is amazing! We were in town on vacation and stopped in for to go beverages the first morning and fell in love with it. They have great drinks, amazing pastries, and delicious breakfast sandwiches. They even had wonderful gluten free muffins and banana bread many mornings.
The space is warm and inviting, they also have lots of wonderful outdoor seating. The staff were all very friendly and efficient.
It also feels very inclusive and I will definitely come back again when I’m in town.

Let me Say amazing Coffee, got an Iced pumpkin latte and is phenomenal! The staff were insanely nice and the place was so modern. Very friendly and nice and experienced was phenomenal. One thing I will say is the bakery items are in the expensive side of things but otherwise recommend anyone to come in and stop by in!

My partner and I come here often, have been for a few years now. It is hands down the best. The people who own/work there truly love their craft and it’s evident in the quality of everything from the food/drinks to the customer service.

What a great coffee shop . First time there .Service was outstanding, ordered a latte, cinnamon roll and vegan scone , so extremely delicious, I’m kind of a coffee critic and that latte was fantastic . Beautiful Expresso machine

Love this place! Very friendly staff. They give great drink recommendations. I’ve found some new favorites here. I was in a parfait mood today but their glazed sourdough muffin is also excellent. My dog also gives it 5 stars, it was hard to tear her away from her pup cup to get her input.

While exploring the area on vacation, I happened upon this incredible little coffeehouse—and I’m still dreaming about it! From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and every single person working there was so friendly and welcoming. It instantly felt like a local favorite, and now I know why.
The food was absolutely amazing. I tried a savory roll that was perfectly flaky and flavorful—just the right balance of comfort and indulgence. The scones were hands-down the best I’ve ever had: buttery, tender, and just the right amount of sweetness. And then… the Bumblebee Latte. Wow. It was the perfect combination of honeyed sweetness and rich espresso—unlike anything I’ve tasted before. I’ve honestly been craving it ever since!
This coffeehouse is the kind of place you wish you could bring back home with you. Delicious food, wonderful drinks, and even better people. If you’re anywhere near it, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll be so glad you did!

Always a great experience. Friendly staff that will offer suggestions on what to order. Amazing arrangements of fresh baked goods. Breakfast fresh from the oven. Even the eggs are perfect, no greasy skillets here. They are active in the community and it’s nice to see them sponsoring events because they always bring their best.

I ventured outside of my normal latte and ordered a black and tan and it was phenomenal!!
The patio outside is so nice and has lots of tables with umbrellas. There are not any outlets to work from out there and not too many inside (but they are there).
There are also so many unique specialty drinks to choose from. There are also bakery items available and made to go wraps and sandwiches.
