BEST BUFFET EVER⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Every single thing was delicious, flavorful, and fresh! The options are outstanding. From the variety of veggies on the salad bar to all the different types of meats! You want it! They have it! Mexican, American, Italian, seafood, and southern comfort staples! Corn pudding, fried green tomatos, collard greens. Kid friendly as well with hot dogs, hamburgers, Mac n cheese, and pizza! Some of my personal favs were the meatloaf, fried potato wedges, crab cakes, roasted zucchini, and baked fish!
We were there during shift change and both of our waitresses were friendly and attentive. It got busy while we were there and I never saw any pans get below half before they were getting filled back up!

Nice selection from salads to appetizers to main courses and desserts was impressed with the carving station and they where serving brisket freshly carved not big on seafood but they had quite a selection from shrimp to oysters and multiple types of fish I will be back again ohhh unlimited drinks sweet tea was refreshing and delicious

The food is good. The server forgot something. And was a quick here then gone. But would say something as she went by. But nice. The place is now serving brisket which was really good. The wait wasn’t to long. And the kids really enjoyed the food ice cream. Wash they had bananas out for it. Also I wash they gave a better discount for senior.
Citizens. Old people dont eat alot. But most of us go there to be with our grandkids.

This was my first time here. For an all you can eat buffet I thought it was very good. 4 out of 5 stars. The service and atmosphere were 5/5. There is a large variety of items to choose from and the price is more than fair. Judging by the amount of people there for lunch I’d say alot of folks love it. My waiter was very attentive as were the others I could see. It is not a place for gluten free options. They also offer carryout, which might be something new for a-y-

I’ve been here over a dozen times and never left a review. The food is always great! And as much as they fix, it always tastes like home cooking at Grandma’s house.
I’m very impressed with the steak, especially with how much of it and quick they fix it. The salad bar is great. The desert bar is too. Only ding I’d give them is the cookies taste a little stale but, I don’t feel that’s enough to be less than five stars. Great place to dine!

The food is great here. The staff is always friendly. They just need more locations because it’s always packed no matter what time of day you go. It would be nice to have one on Richmond, VA or the DC/MD area.

I and my family had called to make a reservation for the back room ONLY for us to be seated in for a celebration for a birthday. 2 of my family members have high anxiety, including myself, along with claustrophobia. And cannot be around multiple people. When we got there, there were already 20 people seated in the back room we had reserved. Upon seeing this, we had asked what happened to our reservation, and it seemed like they didn’t know. They had set us in the middle of the room and said that there will be another party of twenty coming later, which made me and other people very uncomfortable. I had to leave because there were over 40 people in a crowded space. I understand that it is a restaurant, but when we made a reservation and asked about if it will only be us in that room, they told us yes. I do not go out to eat unless I get a reservation so I feel comfortable eating. My anxiety makes it so that I cannot eat around people I don’t know. This is the first time I’ve been to Wood Grill, so I do not know how they do reservations, but when we had asked about if it was only our party that was supposed to be there, they told us yes.

This is hands down the best buffet dining I have experienced! I would typically never even eat at a buffet … but we stopped after a tour of UVA. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very fresh salad bar including tuna salad, crab salad and even fresh peel and eat shrimp, southern fried foods including catfish and fried green tomatoes and a wide selection of meats, sides and kid friendly options! Dessert bar has something for everyone too! Our server, Rob, was so attentive! Our glasses were never empty and he checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. It was so nice to hear that many of the employees have been working there for years too! Try this place … even if you aren’t a buffet person! It’s a must in Charlottesville!

We needed a lunch stop on a road trip and decided to give it a shot with all the reviews. Level setting, it’s your basic buffet serving various American food.
There were items that did surprise me with how they were. Fried chicken, fried shrimp, green beans, cheddar garlic biscuits; all solid choices. A few items were fine. Mashed potatoes, Swedish meatball, chicken tenders, stuffing/dressing, chicken soup; a little less flavorful than I’d have hoped. Nothing was bad, though there were items I wouldn’t get again in favor of ones I preferred.
Food was coming out frequently and fresh, so that was nice.
Staff was attentive and checked in as we ate.
While I might not make it a destination, it was a good lunch at a decent price.
