HAIR IN FOOD – I hate to write this review, because I do usually come here several times a week. My son loves the food here and I bought him an engineer sub for dinner on the way home. He took a few bites and noticed several pieces of hair. The more we inspected, the more hair we found. At least 5 hairs. I understand one hair, but he was disgusted with so many. He threw it out and I had to cook something for him instead. I did go into the store the next morning to talk. The worker called the owner, who said there will be no refund because I threw the receipt away (in the restaurant trash on the way out). I showed the transaction on my online banking and the picture of the hair in the food my son took. If they would have made it right, I would not write this review, but they refused to and it was a waste of money. So, they chose to lose a repeat customer instead of $11.07.

I have been ordering from Firehouse subs over 5 years and tonight is my last time. This branch has been going downhill for a long time. A picture is worth a thousand words so here are a few pictures. Look at the picture of the honey ham (honey ham on a Italian sub really?) it looks like it was chewed up. I have had an Italian sub at firehouse and this was awful. The bread was so soggy.

UPDATE: I called the corporate customer service number only to realize there is no way to talk to someone via phone. I was advised to contact someone on the web, which I did.
I get a return email from “Jessica” While the email was informative, and she was “glad” I made them aware.

NO APOLOGY for the actions or food which is turned out at this store. In this email it felt like oh well, so you had a bad experience. (not my first either with this branch) When clearly this particular restaurant has had many people unhappy with it. Then I was sent a link to a survey for Jessica which didn’t work.

Reviews are important and I do not take this lightly. I worked in CS for over 40 years. When the people who read this and employees, maybe they should think a bit about how people should be treated who are spending money with their business. I won’t be coming back to this location or Firehouse subs. I should call my bank and refuse the charges because of the bad meal.

UPDATE: Never heard from this business or from “Jessica” again. NO apology, nothing. Fine you have lost a customer and who ever else I tell about the experience. I never said how rude the employee was over the phone when we called about how you couldn’t understand what she said and wanted me to bring the sandwiches back. It was late at night, I wasn’t going out again those sandwiches went into the garbage. My bf and I kept wondering when we would get sick. I recommend not going to this Firehouse subs until something is changed here.

Walk in a costumer drop his drink on the floor and cover it with napkins and left. No employee clean it up. Order 2 subs but cashier didn’t speak English. Both subs was so soggy they fell apart and smelled way to vinegary. Didn’t eat half of it. A total waste of money. Been to other fire subs no problem. Not this place

One of the best places I’ve ever eaten! It took less 5min to get my food. Great service and amazing food. My favorite is the “Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket” sandwich with lettuce. This has the perfect ratio of everything and fills me up for a while, which is ideal after a workout.

although the food was good. there was a very very long brown hair in one half of my 8 inch sub and the two cookies purchased with were extremely hard they tasted stale, probably old. i don’t expect much from a food chain..but i expect standardized health precautions.

The worst submarines I’ve ever had will never be back to fire. Our house have eaten an awful lot of them in the past, but now they’re mushy. You can’t find the bacon. Turkey and ham tastes sick. Sickeningly sweet. As far as onions I had one onion ring like a single onion ring. I have a photograph of the pickle that I received which was literally smaller than my little finger. I have photographs That is all so sad

I would give 0 stars if that was possible. The sandwich was soggy and all I could taste was vinegar. The bread was falling apart from being so wet. There was condiments missing and some added that I particularly ordered not to place on my sandwich. And the service I received was unpleasant.

Worst service ever! They cancelled my mobile order because they refused to honor the buy one get one free sub. So I went inside to place my order and they gave me a meatball sub with no marinara sauce and said I had to pay an extra $3.60 if I wanted sauce. Nobody speaks English and they refuse to fix anything

Update: I got sick from the chicken and dumplings soup and was told I would be contacted for resolution. Was not contacted.

The New York Steamer is my favorite sandwich. It comes with corned beef and pastrami. Make sure you review all of the toppings because I don’t think you would want it as baseload in my app is with mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing?

I had a problem with the rewards app the first time back in March. The staff were not very helpful and some of them feigned like they did not speak English.

The hot sauce bar is interesting. It is self serve and is a little messy from patrons unfortunately every time I have been (about 4 times).

Other than that, the sandwiches are good. They sometimes run specials on a limited number of their sandwiches in the app, but not very often.

The tables were not cleaned from previous diners, I had to clean a table myself to dine in. The food tasted good but the size of the sandwich was ridiculously small, the soup was about 6 teaspoonfuls, and the ice tea was so watered down it was tasteless. It costs $21 and I left hungry! There are other places to eat that serve a decent size lunch for less money. I will not be eating at a Firehouse again.
