The Phở tastes good, but remember to add only chili sauce, not hoisin sauce, since hoisin is meant for dipping spring rolls. Recommended.

A total hidden gem! > I decided to step out of my comfort zone and ordered the Bún Mắm and Bánh Cuốn. I’d never tried them before, but they’ve quickly become my absolute favorites! What impressed me most was that even my two kids loved every bite. This place is the real deal—incredibly authentic Vietnamese food. I noticed it was packed with locals while we were eating, which is always the best sign. So glad I found this spot! Seriously, don’t miss out.

We are pho lovers and Pho 69 do serve the best pho we’ve had to date. The chicken pho soup was well balanced with just enough aromatics. Generous portion of chicken meat and they tasted fresh and tender. Both raw+cooked beef pho and stir fried beef pho were just as delicious. Could taste the char (stir fry) taste in the soup in the stir fried beef pho. Mango salad and chicken wings were scrumptious too. The talented chef was able to create well balance taste of saltiness, sweetness and sourness. Perfecto .

Both waitresses were attentive. The more senior waitress was kind to inform us to check out their English menu on Google map. It has food pictures and easier to understand than the physical French menu. She was also very helpful when we asked for more info. We appreciate her recommendations as we enjoyed everything we ordered including the soursop frappe.

The location of this restaurant is in a super sketchy part of town. The restaurant was dated but typical of many Viet restaurants I know. The workers and owner seemed very hard working and I appreciate that. BUT, their Pho needs so much work. I also ordered the wings and it was not that great. The pho was priced correctly but the lack of flavor is the part where they fell super short. I was really hoping to brag about it and give them a shout, but the broth lacked so much flavor and the noodles are mushy. In my book, that is a deadly combination for a bowl of pho and the actual identity of your restaurant. They need to go to Paris and taste their Pho and find a way to duplicate that formula. In the meantime, I hope they work on their broth and other dishes so that people like me would remember our visit to Lyon.

I’ve been to Vietnam multiple times so I know legit Vietnamese food. Of course Viet food in Europe is never going to be 100% like in the motherland.
Banh cuon – wrapping could have been more smooth but loved the dish. Came out super hot which I love. It goes perfect with the nuoc cham (fish sauce)
Bun mam – fermented fish broth soup with noodles – haven’t seen this dish on a menu outside of the USA or Vietnam. Had a good amount of toppings like shrimp, fish balls, pork. Broth was flavorful and satisfying

Lovely family run restaurant in Lyon. Good food and very filling. Busy for lunch and the staff were really attentive.
Prices overall were decent. Had a starter to share and two mains plus drinks. Came to just over €40.
Would recommend the Beef Pho. You get three different types of beef and the broth was excellent.
