The Dahl soup was like colored water with no body or lentils at all. There were beef meatballs, in the Indian sauce. I swear the meatballs tasted identical to Costco beef meatballs. I like Costco meatballs. I just don’t think they should be found in an Indian buffet. None of the food was great. The tandoori chicken was OK but the fact that it was barely warm was off putting. Service was good. But I would rather have good properly heated food with great flavor than to have good service at a buffet.
Another thing that was most annoying was it sounded like a vacuum was running much of the time, and it was so loud that we could barely carry on a conversation and it was actually hurting my ears. Keep in mind the restaurant had just opened for the day. Why did they need to do all that vacuuming at the beginning of the day?
We will not be back.
I’m not sure if it was the owner or not but there was a guy grabbing the plates from customers but he kept hurrying me “are you done?” ” are you done ?” It seemed like each time I was done with a plate. He was very hyper.
Initially misgendered me too until I had to correct that. But ya he tends to be very formal with ma’am and sir and that personally is a turn off for me especially in service. It doesn’t help matters even if it’s the correct pronouns say and its overly done but everything is “yes sir yes ma’am” which btw is a newer thing I’ve noticed like within last 4-5 years. I didn’t grow up with that and nobody called eachother bro either. Just these things that annoy me and when they get in the way of an otherwise decent experience, it can suck. It truly truly can.
As far as the food. My favorite was the coconut curry chicken and the regular as well. The worst was the vegetable Masala in the yellow sauce. Tasted like rubber sauce. The rices were fine. Saag was good. A lot of things were edible I just didn’t like how the manager or whoever that was was hurrying me and I had to even tell him he was too hyper with it and to slow down.
More than likely won’t be back though however. Even if I did live here full time.
The mango pudding was discussing. It tasted old just like the chicken. The rice was dry and hard, even when I scooped from the bottom. The salad was only a be bowl with lettuce, carrots, and cucumber slices. The salad was old and the cucumber slices were soggy. The sweet potatoes Marsala was terrible, unflavorful sauce and undercooked hard chunks of sweet potato.
They didn’t charge me, and good thing, because when I finished eating I started feeling sick. My stomach started hurting and I got sick.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK!
The service made me feel like royalty. The drinks were exquisite and full. The food memorable. Definitely a great spot for a date night or to try Indian cuisine in a fine establishment. Many options in the menu.
Thank you for feeding me. Best rice and naan I’ve had in a long time, rice is cooked fully, portions are generous, and food tastes amazing, thank you!
ALWAYS check how much you are being charged on take out orders. Entered the restaurant, a server greeted me with open hands “give me money” joke. I said give me the food first. Elderly, mustache. I picked up a chicken tikka masala and cheese nan TO GO, I was charged 28.45. I also left a 2 dollar tip.. Realized on my way back home I was over charged compared to their online prices. Called the restaurant back and was told that online prices were different and they were going to give me a discount next time. Why would I go to a scamming restaurant again? Never. This explains why they only had 2 customers sitting and eating. NEVER AGAIN. Dishonest business.
