A beautiful location set in the Texas Hill Country. The grounds are often used as a wedding venue. Several kitties roaming the grounds.
We celebrated my birthday and this was the perfect location. Lori, the manager, was wonderful. It’s like we were all family. She’s funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested the dessert and it was DELICIOUS! Warm sticky toffee pudding.
I picked this restaurant because of the fried Brie and it did not disappoint. It was so good. The cheese mixed with the chili sauce was a great combination. We also had the Burrata cheese with bacon jam, which was very good as well. We ordered different entrees and each was the absolute best.
The trout and the salmon were moist and flavorful. The flash fried spinach was surprisingly good. My new favorite side dish. The smoked chicken fried steak and homemade mashed potatoes the ultimate comfort meal. The steak was crispy enough and the right portion size. The mashed potatoes had the right balance of creaminess with bits of fresh potatoes. A great meal all around.

Celebrated our anniversary here. It was a wonderful experience! Our server was exceptional, serving us a glass of wine so we could walk around and take photos before sitting down for dinner. I love chicken fried steak, and this was the best I’ve ever had. My wife loved her chicken alfredo, and our appetizer of deep fried brie was delicious.

Last night was our first time here.
I was impressed in how cutesy the place is.
A beautiful wedding gathered while we were dining there.
Three stars ✨
+1 because the atmosphere was nice, regular noise, proper for conversation
+1 service was not the fastest (only 3 waiters) but it was ok because the place it’s enjoyable and peaceful
+1 the smoked ribeye was good and unexpected; the 3 dip appetizer was very good
-1 the wine selection was disappointing (Texas restaurants should support local wine)
-1 a fly landed in my wine and my Tuscan chicken pasta had zero flavor (salt and pepper didn’t saved that pasta). The chicken was supposed to be grilled but it was boiled instead ( ). The manager was walking around but not once came to any of the tables
Anyways, overall 3/5 because I was excited about the place but the food was a big let down

Brought my bf here for his birthday and the fillet was delish! I had the ribeye, a little Smokey for me but still very well cooked. The sides were awesome BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is the BREAD PUDDIN…. It’s life changing. We are coming back just for that

Beautiful place, friendly helpful staff. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the fried brie as an appetizer. Fiance chose the pecan crusted salmon, and had me taste it- I don’t even like salmon but the way in which they prepared it with the pecans was fantastic tasting and negated salmon’s usual distinctive fishy taste. I chose the blackened shrimp on a bed of cauliflower risotto and flash fried spinach- absolutely amazing! The flavors blended well with each other, but not so much as to be indistinct. The flash fried spinach melts in your mouth- quite literally. We went there to scope out a potential venue for our wedding rather than for wine tasting so I can’t speak much on that aspect, but given the positive experience we had, I would be surprised if that wasn’t great too.

This is such a beautiful vineyard and restaurant! It is a very small restaurant with a nice view of the vines and wedding/event venue. The service and food were phenomenal! We were a bit underdressed, as our visit was not previously planned, but I would definitely recommend a reservation.

I got the Cajun Shrimp Eggs Benedict and was definitely not disappointed! My husband got the Chicken Pablano Alfredo, which was just as amazing. They had a nice wine menu with a good variety. Our server was wonderful, as was everyone we had talked to. Laurie, I believe her name was, also greeted us and chatted for a minute before we left. It was overall a very nice experience.

I recently had my wedding at OVV and would highly recommend them to any other brides. Their team was a well oiled machine on the day of the event. They made sure everything was taken care of and that we hit key timeline moments (cake cutting, introductions, etc.). The day of staff was awesome. We had a lot of good feedback from guests about the food and had several guests with food allergies. OVV accommodated without problem.
I would also recommend using their DJ (Patrick) and florist (Don). They all worked together beautifully. I always hear brides say this but it was truly a perfect night.

Went to a friends wedding here. Atmosphere was very sweet and intimate for the small wedding. Food was pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only gripe is that the bathrooms are a bit of a hike from the pavilion we were in. Not a huge problem but something to note if you have elderly people who can’t walk as easily up hill.

We visited Oak Valley originally for brunch but were so impressed with the food, service, and views that we reached out to discuss hosting our wedding here. Oak Valley appears to be a great event venue – they had a bunch of options you could add-on, from catering to decorations, and it was very reasonably priced compared to other venues. In fact, this was one of my favorite options but my fiance decided a vineyard wedding in the winter was not for him. If we were having a Spring/Summer/Fall wedding, would definitely have selected and strongly recommend for anyone still looking in the SA area.

Haley was awesome! Thank you for making our wedding anniversary special. Dinner was great, which included a great romance package for dessert! Day or night, their vineyards are absolutely beautiful to walk around and just enjoy the Texas Hill Country! Looks like they do events and large groups too! You gotta check ‘em out!
