The Greene Turtle started in Ocean City as a place where beer was king and the menu consisted of a barrel of peanuts. Over time, we’ve grown an obsession with making good food and a belief that staying true to ourselves is what matters most. We make hearty food using fresh ingredients and highlight the blue crab dishes that are authentic to the Mid-Atlantic. Gather around and try food that’s so good that you’ll have to share.

Sports-bar chain with a casual menu of burgers, ribs & a variety of brews, plus plenty of TVs.

Mrs. Theresa was a great help and very attentive! As soon as we walked in, we could see it was pretty busy. Mrs Theresa was on the phone with a customer but immediately made sure we were acknowledged and comfortable. Right after her call, she directed us and our waitress to which booth was ours. Some light conversation with a very kind and knowledgeable local and we were right at home. Thanks for a great dining experience!

Our waitress tonight was great. The food was really good. The only downside was the food took a really long time to come out. Just assuming they are short staff in the kitchen. Overall it was good.

Me and my fiancé had our first date here about 5 years ago, now we are engaged. We haven’t eaten here for probably a year, maybe even 2. We stopped coming because the quality of the food did not come close to the prices they were charging, I’d also like to add that I’ve become sick after each time I’ve eaten here, I believe from the amount of oil used. This past weekend we started craving it for some reason, so we decided to try it out and see if had gotten any better… not one bit.

We arrived at 1:00pm on a Sunday, had to wait at the front for 5 min before we were noticed and seated. Ordered straight away with our server, but never saw her again after we got our food, only when we got the bill. From the time we ordered we waited 45 minutes for a chicken sandwich with fries, and a tender basket with fries. I’ve never waited so long for such simple plates, even at other restaurants that were crowded.

On to the food review, which was somewhat edible. My tenders arrived about little over room temp, and obviously looked old as if they’ve been sitting. Now my fries were completely inedible, they were SOAKED FULL of oil, (this is what happened before which made me ill later in the evening). They were so soggy and most were brown and over cooked, just saturated in oil, also just room temp. My fiancés chicken sandwich also arrived a little over room temperature, like it had been sitting. Her fries were better than mine, some were edible but most weren’t, again soaked in oil and not hot, just room temp. We ordered a regular Pepsi and a diet, both weren’t carbonated and mediocre.

Service was mediocre, took awhile to get two drinks, took even longer to get the appetizer and even longer for the food.

Overall experience was just terrible and we’ve decided to never return.

We should of left after we waited forever to be seated. We almost left when we waited forever for us to be able to give our drink orders. 45 minutes for the food to cone which was 3 burgers. Mine was practically raw in the middle and all our fries were cold. Never again.

We spent one night in Maryland and decided to try a local place. The beer was cold and the food was great! My husband had turtle crawl IPA which was their beer. He enjoyed it’s citrus and hoppy flavor. I had to try the crab melt which was very good! The cheese was melted perfectly and it had great flavor! I got it with sweet potato fries. My husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. I had to taste it and the breading was amazing!! We sat outside on the patio but the inside looked like it had a nice bar. What a great idea to try something new! It’s a nice area and I would like to come back when I can explore more!

I loved this location! Staff was kind, food was amazing and my family left happy. Also, what an adorable setup!

I got a Cobb salad and some crab dip. The salad was good and refreshing but the crab dip?? OMG!! I’d go back just for that alone. It was so good. My grandma ate almost all of it! Fyi, it comes with pretzels.

The rest of my family got either a crab cake sandwich with fries or chicken tenders with fries and told me nothing but good things about them both.

Thank you green turtle!

i’ve come to share my delightful experience with doordashing green turtle. as you can see by my name, cameren, it’s spelled different than others hence the e instead of an o, id like to add that i strongly dislike it when people spell my name wrong even when they’re aware of how to spell it right. anyways back to the main topic, me doordashing turtle. the food arrived and as i opened the bag i started digging in at the fries which are delicious as well as the crabby melt i ordered. i’ve ordered it from here multiple times and each time its like biting into that dish your mom made you as a kid and you just start salivating for more and more, i then dug further into the bag and saw a brown bag with writing on it. on this bag was written “cameren” and it immediately filled my heart with joy because my green turtle workers spelled my name right and i’m still munching on the fries as i’m typing this review. the big picture is that the food is amazing and they pay attention to the small details, so thank you green turtle i will most definitely order again.

I’ve only eaten inside of this place once and immediately fell in love with the beer battered fish and fries. So every time I order to-go from here, that’s what I get. EVERY single time, the fries are stale, the fish is either soggy or burnt (no in between) and overall, it’s just terrible. They never give you tartar sauce and there’s no way to request it specifically in the food apps. This last order I had, the fish was spicy. Not sure why, it’s not advertised as spicy and it’s never been spicy in the past.

I do not recommend this place, at least for takeout orders…and it seems I am not alone in this sentiment. Four orders in a row with the same exact issues. No more Green Turtle for me, unfortunately.

I ordered a Hurricane- Hell in a Shell drink. They informed me it was for two people due to the alcohol content, but it has no alcohol taste. If you are someone who likes a fruity drink the Hurricane is a good choice (while it may appear to be fruity please do not drive after consuming, Uber home if you must). I would not spend the $12.00 to order this drink again.
Their crab dip appetizer was very good. It is loaded with butter and cheese. The pretzel sticks soak up all the yummy goodness. I would order this again, but think it is important to note that it is more like a crab puree. If you are looking for a jumbo lump dip this is not what you want to order.
Their food is over priced for what you get, and the quality and flavor was completely lacking in my dinner. For $4 you can add loaded tots or fries to your meal. When I got my plate I maybe had 20 tater tots. My food was cold and my bun felt and tasted stale. I asked for a medium well burger it was completely burnt and had an odd taste. It almost tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill. It was not very appetizing. Needless to Safeway, I would not order this meal again.
I believe it would be a great place to watch some games, have some beer, and eat some appetizers with friends.
