Very bright & welcoming decor along with hostess & wait staff that were friendly & informative – thank you Ms. Manager!
Fish we ordered – Swordfish – blackened, but presented two different ways. The Sword Entree w/cream sauce, I actually liked with the rice, better than the fish. And tried the other fish – just blackened and loved that. The red cabbage was awesome. Hats off to the chef. Both melas were great!
Seating inside – downstairs & upstairs. Also, outside on patio or in the yard.
Big bar – lots of cocktails, Martini Friday. Beer & wine selection was very nice, but limited craft beers.
Bottom line – come for the fresh fish and enjoy the cuisine. Want a beer, find a brewery or tap house.
The fried pickles and crab dip were really good however the portion size in the crab dip was a bit small to share with five people it could’ve used more.
The mahi Reuben was very good as was the mahi tacos and shrimp pasta, which had a very good portion and had a little bit of a creole taste to it. Our server Heather was fantastic and kept checking back on us.
They do not take reservations and you just go on the waitlist however you can’t get a drink while you’re waiting. We waited about half an hour to be seated.
A nice nautical atmosphere inside but it is very lively “a bit noisy“ inside. Did not get to do the outdoor seating as it was storming out. The prices were a little high but the food was well worth it. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for seafood. pretty amazing considering they’re only open five hours a day.
Being vegetarian, it is tricky to find good food on the Outer banks without sea food in it. I ate the sweet potato flatbread, and everything was amazingly balanced.
Drinks are wonderful too if you’re interested in alcohol options. The flavor profiles aren’t overly sweet.
Overall, this is a clean and tasty restaurant. My partner and I already want to plan another trip to the beach partially to eat here again.
I wanted something a bit smaller on this visit so opted for a side caesar and appetizer buffalo shrimp. That was the perfect amount of food and definitely enough for a meal.
Others at the table had the mahi mahi reuben with substituted rice, shrimp & grits, and the cheesesteak with fries. Everyone enjoyed theirs and I must say all had portions on the large side. Definitely a great value!
Oh and let’s not forget the special fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp. This appetizer was perfection and I’ll be sorely disappointed if it’s not in the menu next visit.
Sizable restaurant and bar with nice outdoor waiting area. It was frigid inside so bring a jacket. Service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to return!
