Went during the 2020 pandemic and his son was out serving food on his trailer grill..still good food .. been going here since 98 .. still good and son was nice and professional..will go back once things go back to normal ..I had pulled pork,potatoe salad, greens and chicken‼

Super local BBQ joint. Service is very personal. Barbeque is awesome. Collard greens were amazing. We Also tried the chitlins and if you are in to that they were cooked perfectly and tasty.

Not at all what I expected? The owner of the establishment was there by himself: taking orders from walk ins and over the phone, then he has to prepare them. The wait was understandable-not a problem but the quality of the food SUCKED. The BBQ chicken was soooo incredibly dry but drenched in sauce, gross. The corn bread was like drywall- dry and hard. It was as if the food was prepared the day/days before then reheated. NEVER again will I eat there.

I grew up here, Mr. BBQ deserves mad respect, he served a community when no one else did, I’m 42 and I’ve been eating here since I was a child, Anytime I come back home it’s the first stop I make. I will always support this business. Y’all complaining about a mask, but if other restaurants did the same less people would be sick. Thank you for protecting my health and yours Sir.

Best food in the whole world. I really mean that! I have never been disappointed and the owner is amazing. The food and drinks are amazing. It’s the only place left that allows me to think of the good ol days. It brings back the past and allows for good memories. Name any restaurant and this will beat it. Better than McDonald’s all the way to Benihana. It’s all about the whole deal not just food. Excellent customer service. I will forever appreciate this restaurant and thanks Mr.BBQ for all the great times

Sitting here eating for the first time ever and it is amazing. The owner is the sweetest man and his food is the best bbq I’ve ever tasted. The pulled pork is melt in your mouth delicious. Wish I could add a pic to show how good it looks.

I wanted some BBQ and always try to support the local community. After walking in and I took a look around the place, enough said. It was then I decided I would still try the food, but it would be to go. An older man came flying out from around the corner with masks in his hand, telling my wife and I we had to put on a mask or leave.
Now you know why I could not rate the food, my wife and I just walked out the door.

Back in the day it was good! But now it is absolutely horrible! Please don’t waste your money and time going to this place. The old timer that Owns the place is very rude and unprofessional. I can handle that. But I can’t handle is rudeness and being served bad food. The bake beans and Mac and cheese was so awful. No one could eat them. They taste and look like they were leftovers from a few days ago. The rib bones appear to look like they came from riblets. Everything was just terrible

Excellent fried pork chops, Ox tails, Fried Fish, stewed beef. The dinners come with your choice of several delicious sides (Collards, Lima Beans, Black-eyed peas).
