If you are in a hurry on a Saturday evening, this may not be the most suitable venue, as the wait time for takeout orders was quite lengthy. The restaurant was busy and possibly understaffed, and calling ahead did not significantly reduce the wait. The establishment features a modern industrial design, complemented by retro diner influences. Its clean lines, minimalist furniture, and well placed lighting create a contemporary and stylish ambiance. The space feels thoughtfully curated without being overly decorated. Overall, it is a trendy, casual dining location with a warm yet edgy aesthetic, ideal for a modern burger experience in a relaxed and fashionable setting. The staff was courteous and empathetic, apologizing for the delays, which was appreciated. We ordered three burgers. The Local, the Hangover, and the Return of the Mac and found them to be very flavorful. For a more convenient experience, visiting on a weeknight is recommended to avoid the weekend crowds.

Tried out this local burger spot and overall it was decent, but a few small things made a noticeable difference. I ordered the BBQ burger, but it barely had any BBQ sauce on it which defeats the whole point. The bacon tasted like it had been pre-cooked and sitting around. It was chewy, almost stale, and definitely not crispy. On the positive side, the produce on the burger was fresh and the overall quality was fine.
I also got the truffle parm fries, which were a bit disappointing. Instead of being something premium, they just threw a pile of shredded parmesan on top. It was not melted, so if you wanted cheese with your fries you had to pick up individual shreds. Once it hardened it was basically inedible. The garlic aioli on the side also missed the mark. It tasted synthetic with only the faintest hint of garlic and almost had a rancid flavor, which was surprising because aioli is usually such a simple and reliable item. The fries themselves, though, were cooked well and had good flavor.
The wings were another item I tried. They were very small, which was crazy considering the price tag , but the Thai chili sauce was excellent and really stood out as one of the highlights of the meal.
One thing I did appreciate was how quickly everything was prepared. My entire to-go order was ready in less than ten minutes, which is a definite plus.
All in all, I would put this burger maybe a tier above McDonald’s. It is not a gourmet burger, but it is a local burger with some good qualities. With a few tweaks to the details, this spot could go from decent to really good.

My kids just discovered this place…and WOW!!! The chicken sandwich was so flavorful and crispy ..and the fries??? Awesome food. And I love the way they stamp the buns. Definitely the new place and better place to eat.

Heaven in my mouth! After having a free sample at Dark Storm months ago, I finally made it to the location. WOW!
When it is prepared fresh right off the grill, I returned to the gates of Valhall. Only THIS time the gods were deep in party mode, and I was lured in by the upbeat music, and the promise of satisfaction!
I must say the brussel sprouts are a MUST have , don’t wait til it gets home! The crisp outer leaves made such an impact on me, I cant wait to drag every passerby in and force love into their faces.
The burger itself was so lovely to meet again. Like the hot guy/girl who keeps winking at you and all you get is his/her number and a makeout session… Youll be back for more!
I wish I had more room to gorge myself in this plethora of flavor. Sadly (thankfully) there is always tomorrow, lunch AND dinner.

This place was not good, it was THE BEST BURGER PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN TO! It was fun eating outside, the weather was a perfect day to eat outside, their local sauce is so good and I would come here a lot to eat on the green. Best burger joint I’ve been too.

I wanted to love this place. I was looking for a burger to change it up a bit from Karver’s, Off the Block, and Boxcar. We do take out at least 3 times per week my wife and I. What surprised me at first was that both burgers were placed into one takeout container so it was a bit squished therefore the initial impression with my eyes was not as appealing as possible. The burger was tasty on its own, the hot dog was pretty vanilla so the bacon and cheese amped it up but the dog was not better than Boxcars, the fries were pretty good but what really disappointed me is that I asked for a side of ranch and they gave me a small 3/4 filled plastic container and charged me over seventy cents for it. Now I get that it costs for the plastic, the ranch itself, and the labor to put it in the container but this high priced little container will cost hundreds of dollars a year in burgers from our family all because making a bit more on a side of ranch rather than just covering their cost is their business model. Short sighted IMO. I will most likely not be going back to an establishment that needs to nickel and dime their customers for a tiny side of ranch. At least Karver’s gives me a big side when they charge me.
