Beto’s Mexican Food in Herriman is exactly where a Mexican joint should be, right in the middle of all the homies, blasting Latino energy into the drive-thru line, like it’s rush hour in Tijuana.
The salsa? ¡Órale! That hot sauce started out mild, then suddenly hit harder than your tío’s chancla at a quinceañera!!
WAY better going in than it ever will coming out, if you catch my drift! #chicharon
The drive-thru wait felt eternal, but only because the Suburban in front of me was stacking 14 burritos deep for their 14 chamacos, each one hashtag blessed and probably raised on chicharón breakfast tacos.
I didn’t even mind though, I had time to admire the neon sign glowing like a beacon for late night cravings and questionable decisions! R.I.P. my toilet manana
But here’s where things went loco, after my wife’s first bite of carne asada, she suddenly busted out a perfect Hispanic accent saying things like “qué rico, papi” and within minutes, she fully transformed into a Latina goddess, breathing fuego out of her mouth like some Aztec dragon fueled by chicharón grease!!
I’ve never been so turned on by a plate of tacos, and I swear Beto’s should add a warning label “may cause your marriage to hit telenovela levels of passion!”
Verdict? This spot is puro fuego, full of chicharón dreams, and worth every second in line. ️ mi papi! Fuego!!

Beto’s was great and I’m glad we finally have one in Herriman! We got the Carne Asada Fries and the Carne Asada Quesadilla and they were both amazing. There are nice views and the building was clean.

I know it can take a new location a while to get on its feet and running well, so I have kept coming back to this location in the hopes that it would improve. Unfortunately it hasn’t. I have consistently been given the wrong order, inconsistent portions, inconsistent ratios of ingredients within the burrito, and missing add ons. With their competitor being a couple minutes down the road I will drive there. I REALLY wanted this location to be good. I’ve included a picture of my most recent teeny tiny steak and egg burrito with added sour cream. (Sour cream missing of course)

Okay so Beto’s is new in Riverton, we’ve always had alibertos. Decided to try it since it’s a block away from my house. I’ve had “Beto’s” before in Orem and Draper. Tell me why I spend almost 40 dollars on a burrito and nachos and ask for a many salsas they can give me. I was told 4 red 4 green (1 oz) promo portions for a burrito bigger than the face eating it and nachos. I had to BUY salsa that should have been included. Idk about you but dipping nachos into salsa is a thing. I spent over 40 dollars tonight on two items. This would have been 28 at Alberto’s. Since when is a basic (watered down green salsa and red salsa that one wasn’t watered down worth 5 dollars each!!!) sorry if I’m spending this amount on two items with a basic red or green salsa I’m NEVER COMING HERE. Drive a mile up and hit alibertos up!!!!!! All the salsa you want. It’s literally Water. Do better if you want to keep Herriman interested.
Also there is no phone number listed to contact them. I’ll be back in person tomorrow with salsa in hand and I want my money back. It looks like they tampered with it after our conversation at the window. I’ve had green salsa a million times and I actually have video of it draining into my sink like water. I just sat back and read reviews and for only being open a MONTH yall are definitely on the right track so far. ????????

Incredibly small portions – unlike other Betos where the burritos are huge. This place gives you half the size. The meat always taste close to expired as well. So with the small portions and poor quality ingredients they are lucky they are getting even 1 star. Would not recommend this location at all.

Herriman was established in 1851 by pioneers like Henry Harriman and Thomas Jefferson Butterfield. Beto’s has been the best thing that’s happened to Herriman since then. To the founding fathers for their unfathomable vision, and to the Mexicans for their invaluable contributions, cheers!

Beto’s has always had the best quality breakfast burritos. When you get hungry at 11:30pm you know this is place. The super combo breakfast burrito has always been my personal favorite. I will say my wife and I could typically spilt one of these and but they have gotten smaller on their sizes like everyone else. Still our favorite though. We also love the carne asada fries!

I’m glad to have Beto’s in this area (Herriman/Riverton). This location is pretty new as of fall 2025.
We used to go to Aliberto’s in Herriman. However, Beto’s is cleaner and the Fish Tacos here use cabbage (how it should be), vs Aliberto’s, who use lettuce (nope) for the Fish Tacos.
Beto’s is clean, pricing is comparable to others, and fish tacos are affordable. I can’t really say the same for burritos, etc. Burritos at any Mexican food restaurant in the area are always $9 to $12 each. I think that’s too high. But it is what it is.

Beto’s used to be one of my go-to spots, but this location was disappointing. The burritos are noticeably smaller compared to the West Jordan location—almost half the size—and the portions inside are not consistent. There was barely enough filling, which made it feel like poor value.
The sauce options were also limited, which was another letdown.
Overall, this location does not match the quality and consistency I have experienced at the West Jordan location. I would rather drive farther for better food and portion size. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to this one.
