Due to a fire at the restaurant we are currently operating out of our satellite kitchen on property (located just past the restaurant, across from Kula Marketplace). We are currently open from 8-7 daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner (adding breakfast again soon!) and have LIVE MUSIC Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm (hula show on Tuesdays!) We have terrific food at great prices and very comfortable outdoor seating. Breakfast: 8-11am Lunch/Dinner: 11am-7pm

After being rejected by a few closed retauants nearby on our way to the national park, this food truck was our savior. The combo plate was the best deal in town, so yummy and such a large portion. Place was nicely set up with picnic tables and umbrellas. There is a real bathroom you can use behind the store.

Hurt my heart to see the burned lodge but the gift shop is still filled with wonderful items for visitors and locals. Please go and support both. Mahalo!

Had a tasty Breakfast Wrap of eggs, black beans, cheese, and home style potatoes (ham on the side). The burrito wrap came with a mild salsa and sour cream. It was delicious. Paired with an iced coffee, it was sublime. Nice wooden picnic tables underneath umbrellas to enjoy the meal. Looking forward to coming back to try something else on the menu. Highly recommend the food truck.

Amazing food truck! We ordered the chicken plate and it was soo good! The best part though was their banana bread! Also the woman that took our order was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations. You can tell these people actually care about the food they make. Would definitely come here again

What a great menu! Good selection of local items. Smoked meats, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, burgers, salads, etc!!
Smash burger was huge and delicious. Loved the crispy fries too!
Pulled pork was smoked perfectly! Sautéed veggies added a nice healthy touch. Very flavorful.
They are very friendly and willing to describe anything on the menu. I really liked the setting, under huge trees with nice tables
Very relaxing. Mountain views too.

Food here was great! Our waitress Beth was the nicest person you’d ever meet and seems like she cares for what she does. Beth brought a smile to our entire table. The atmosphere reminds me of like old time camping. The environment made me relax just a little more. I’d highly recommend this place!

The restaurant is a charming wooden building surrounded by gardens and pathways. The inside is very homey and comfortable with a fireplace and the most gorgeous view of the island and ocean. There are a few terraced outdoor tables with umbrellas as well as a wood-fired pizza oven.
FOOD:
Loco Moco
I had this for breakfast because I wanted a change from the norm. The classic local dish, steamed rice topped with a hamburger patty and brown gravy. Mild flavor. Good but not the greatest.
SERVICE:
Nothing to complain about or credit.
OVERALL:
Nice place to grab a pricey bite to eat after watching the sunrise at Haleakala.

We stopped by Kula Lodge for dinner on our way to Haleakala for sunset, and it did not disappoint! The grounds were beautiful and had breathtaking views of the island. Their food was amazing, made with intention and care. Our server, Camila, was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!!

A unique experience! The restaurant is elevated & features a glass wall, so I recommend booking a reservation close to sunset for a spectacular view. The food is delicious, & the menu features a vegan section with vegetables roasted to perfection. You can also walk around the property’s immaculate landscaping to capture some stunning pictures. Note that the road to the lodge is windy & can get narrow at times, but it’s a spectacular drive.

We visited Kula Lodge the day before the fire, and we’re so sorry to hear about it. Our experience at Kula was just amazing. After spending the morning at Haleakalā National Park, we stopped here for breakfast and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, the views were beautiful , and our server, Beth, was just great. She made us feel so welcome and we loved visiting with her.
We were heartbroken to hear about the fire, but hope the rebuild is going smoothly. Wishing everyone at Kula Lodge all the luck and success in the world – we can’t wait to come back and see you one day.
