We care about your food, where it comes from, and how it’s prepared. All our meat is ethically raised and locally sourced from Heartland Fresh Family Farm in Donnellson, Iowa. Our hickory for the pit, our collard greens and other veggies come from Kroul Farms in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. All our meat is barbecued the traditional way – low and slow over a hickory fire carefully tended by the pitmaster. The place had to be done right, and we think we got it. The chance to bring this food, drink, and dining experience to North Liberty brings us great joy – we hope it brings you a bit of joy, too!

Was not aware that there wasn’t table service which was totally ok. Cashier/order person was friendly and courteous.
Got drinks at the bar to take back to the table. The bar was busy and it seemed like they either needed another bartender (there were 2) or they were new to bartending because there were several people who were waiting awhile. I just felt like there wasn’t a sense of urgency trying to serve customers.
Food came out in a timely manner. I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and a side of macaroni. The macaroni was slightly warm at best but was way colder than expected. The BBQ Chicken was good but not “HOT” . I really liked the sauce they used to drizzle on the pizza.
Overall, I thought my visit was good but, I feel like Mosley’s still has a few things to figure out. I would definitely like to see the Macaroni at least warm throughout the dish upon serving. The atmosphere was great, and loved the music. The staff though, just seemed very unsure of themselves. We had 4 people check on our table in less than 10 minutes and then there would be a period of 20 minutes where we wouldn’t see anyone.
Later in our visit, I noticed that there was an immensely long line to order. I’m not sure if they were under staffed but, I would have definitely opened up another register.
I would recommend to check this place out and I will definitely be back after they get through their first few months. I liked it but, wasn’t super impressed. Like I said, I will be back as I’d like to give it another chance once they really get into a groove.
My favorite on the menu is the brisket sandwich. It’s tender, juicy, and smoky, and is served on a soft buns. There’s a variety of sauces to choose from and I love that the food comes with minimal sauce which allows me to add as much or little as I like. The portion is generous, and the price is VERY reasonable. SERIOUSLY REASONABLE.
The brisket sandwich is so delicious I ate two. The mother-in-law says I’m a good cochino!
Mosley’s Barbecue and Provisions is a great place to enjoy a flavorful feast for the senses. The brisket sandwich is one of the many reasons to visit this restaurant, which also offers catering and delivery services. If you are looking for a mouthwatering barbecue experience, don’t miss out on Mosley’s Barbecue and Provisions. You won’t regret it!
Had a nice old school two for one happy hour. Meats are all wood cooked, sides have soul to them! A little pricy, but well worth it.
