Terrific and inexpensive family restaurant. The nicest staff you’ll ever meet. Good place for breakfast and lunch. Specials on board, all the familiar meals.

We’ve always loved this place and have been making a point to come eat here for years. I’m never disappointed! Very popular restaurant. Good old down-home cooking. My husband’s all-time favorite meal to get here is the cheeseburger. Mine is the Tuesday or Thursday Thanksgiving plate special! Although one day we went on a Wednesday and the special was the country style steak and that was so tender and delicious! The pecan pie was probably the best I’ve ever had. Cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Very clean, nice people and children friendly.

Delicious food, family friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend stopping here. We stopped in for lunch, but the breakfast and dinner menu looked really good as well. We all left happy. Excellent food quality. Tip: cash or check only are acceptable payments, but they do have an ATM.

Nice southern style hometown place to eat. I had the Thursday lunch special which was 8 bucks and change. It was great with meatloaf
mashed potatoes and turnip greens as my sides. I had a little mashed potatoes and gravy with each bite of the meatloaf just the way I like it and boy was it good. The sweet tea was good and not overly sweetened. Desert was warm apple pie which was just a tart and vanilla ice cream. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They don’t take credit cards but an ATM is onsite and personal checks with ID are excepted but that may be for locals only. Oh, and the service was awesome and so very friendly.

We enjoyed a quiet late lunch at Sunset on a Friday afternoon. The service was great! The food was good. It’s a simple menu with fresh specials. Unfortunately we were too late in the afternoon to get their fresh berry pies. Make sure to bring cash or an ATM card.

Our family visited here – twice ! It is friendly, comfortable and dependable food, prepared in a simple fashion. I had the cold plate and loved everything on it, including the delicious cole slaw! Based on the number of people there each time we go, it is the place to be in Franklin!

Friendly staff, the fried chicken takes 20 minutes because they make it right then and there. The lasagna was tasty for the price, and given it was the daily special it came put warm and quick.

We went for vacations to NC and wanted to try trout, it was the only restaurant that serve it and was very good a little bit expensive though. I had the corn muffin and pecan pie (not on the picture), delicious.
