We came here after the recommendation of locals, and we are so glad we did! The restaurant was closing for a few private events, but they accommodated us by letting us sit at the bar. Even with all their preparations for the parties, the food came within a reasonable amount of time and staff was nice and attentive to us. We had the pork soup dumplings, crab rangoons, orange chicken with fried rice, and chicken tikka masala with naan, veggies, and white rice. Everything came out hot (temperature) and DELICIOUS!!!
I took a video of the main dishes but google won’t let me upload it, so here are blurry screenshots!

Just went there for the first time tonight. 26th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing! We had the tempura shrimp appetizer, pork fried rice and chicken pad Thai. The portions for the entrees were huge, easily shareable so we ended up taking to go boxes home. Service started out great but after our entrees were brought out our waitress ignored us. She was in and out multiple times but never looked at us. About 35 minutes after we were finished eating I finally walked over to the back bar (I guess) and asked a waiter for to go boxes and a check. He was cool and took care of us. We will be back for the excellent food but it was kind of disappointing because we wanted to get dessert there but were kind of bummed out by then so we passed and went to Crumbled

Good portions of entrees and appetizers are small in portions. Price ranges is a bit high for the food. Question the quality of food if something’s are frozen and other things are more freshly made. Great service, very nice and friendly. Due to the price, not an often return visit except maybe special occasions. Also note the menu on line is more extensive so you have to check out those choices as well. Good selection for sure.

Absolutely horrible service. First waitress brings out a drink but they said they had to replace the carbonation. Never comes back. Flags down a second waitress. Takes our food order and drink order. Never got a refill. When I finally asked another waitress she said they’d poured out the tea and couldn’t do refills. So I paid for a drink and got no refills. Service was really slow, too. Food was good though. So obviously the problem wasn’t with the kitchen staff.

The food is outstanding, atmosphere is nice, real Japanese feel to it. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and it’s fun hearing them tell story of restaurant’s history. They helped us learn more about how to use chop sticks too. The drinks are wonderful .

I stopped by for a quick lunch by myself. I ordered miso soup, shrimp dumplings, bluefin sushi and “fatty salmon” sushi. The soup and dumplings came out as my appetizer and the miso soup was delicious. However, the shrimp dumplings were lackluster to say the least. The wrapper fell apart on the first one, it completely lacked flavor and the shrimp was overcooked. I tried a second one with extra dipping sauce, which was just sweet chili sauce. However, it did nothing to save the dumpling. The rice to fish ratio for the sushi was massive and the fish itself tasted fishy and not fresh. Each order of sushi came with two pieces and I ate one full piece of the bluefin, started the second half but had to spit it out. I bit the first “fatty salmon” in half but due to the fishy taste and tough texture I couldn’t even swallow and had to spit it out as well. If you know anything about sushi you could tell just by looking at it wasn’t salmon belly. I told my server how I didn’t like the dumplings and the “fatty salmon” sushi and showed that I didn’t eat it. But when I was brought the check both of them were still on the check. My server told me that the owners/managers don’t normally take items off the bill unless you don’t have the money for it. I requested the manager come speak with me if. When the manager arrived she stood one table away from me already with attitude asking what the issue was. I reiterated how little I ate of the dumplings and “salmon belly” and the exact reasons why I didn’t like each dish. She then asked why I didn’t like the bluefin, I told her that I never complained about the bluefin I was only concerned about the “salmon belly” and the shrimp dumplings. She didn’t respond, did an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes. She walked off and took the two items off of my bill. Needless to say I will never be back and will tell everyone that asks to never go.

The great: the service was attentive, patient, and genuinely friendly.

The good: the Cantonese egg rolls, the chocolate cake, the crab cakes, the fried potatoes, the wine

The ok: the pan seared duck breast, the crab rangoon, the sake, the Italian creme cake

The could be better: the shui mai, the fried rice, the mixed vegetables

The wish I had known in advance: there is a credit card fee of 3.99%.

Overall, this place is unique and adequate. I expected the food to be a little better for the price but maybe other dishes next time would fit the bill.

Reo was awesome. Very informative and covered all bases. Walked in and wasnt greeted by the pungent smell of fish like every other sushi place here, so i knew i was in the right place. They were able to accommodate any food requests and overall my bf and i had a fantastic time. This will now be my new go to sushi place.

Goung Zhou was okay. For starters, we got their crab bisque ($12). It came out lukewarm, but it was REALLY good. For entrees, my husband got the halibut ($36 on its own) and garlic mashed ($8 more). I got the yellow Indian curry with steamed rice ($24 I think). My husband really liked his halibut though it was a bit on the salty side. My curry was good too, but it was a bit salty for me as well. However, the steamed rice was not the sticky kind, so that was a bit of a let down. I also got a their thunder roll sushi and that was good. Service was slow and disorganized at first (they got my husband’s number wrong when they took his name down so we didn’t get a text for our table). Our server was nice and attentive although she didn’t introduce herself. Food presentation was good. Bathrooms could use a DEEP clean. Overall, an okay experience…we might give it another try sometime. For the price, I expected a better experience.

1st visit. Good selection of sushi rolls. The appetizer of calamari was great and the presentation was very well done. The rolls were generous in size and the staff was friendly.
