We tried the Dill Pickle Pizza and wow — it’s truly unlike any other pizza we’ve ever had! The flavor combination was unique, tangy, and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend is a total cheese pizza connoisseur, and even he said the pizza was cooked perfectly.

We also ordered the cheesy bread, which turned out to be more like pizza without the cheese, so probably wouldn’t get that again. But between the two pizzas and the cheesy bread, our total was about $58 — definitely worth it for the quality and taste.

If you’re looking to try something new and unforgettable, the Dill Pickle Pizza is a must!

Welcome to Oro Valley. I was so excited because I love their pizza at the original location. I feel like the quality and taste are the same.
What I love about this place is their pizza dough. It’s very well-balanced. And the signature snake bite pizza is one of the best. You have to try it. The crew was very kind.
I was there around 7pm on Saturday. It was almost full table but the service flow was good. I didn’t have to wait much.

Went in for an early lunch, the (unfortunately limited-time but variety is good) bánh mì pizza was excellent; service also outstanding, this spot is every bit as good as the one by Hop Shop.

This is the pizza place of all pizza places. Worth the $$ and the drive from the east valley. I haven’t had this pizza in over 8 years since we moved from Tucson. Imagine how thrilled I was to see an Oro valley location opening up. I was so impressed with the food, the atmosphere, the crew working was new, but totally accommodating, welcoming, and polite. This pizza is life, and I’m so glad they have a closer location after years of me trying to chase that Tucson food truck around. Can’t wait to go back

I am so excited there’s now an OV Ciao Down! It’s absolutely delicious & fresh each & every time. And to add, the customer service is always 5 star! I enjoy the experience to sit down when I go in as I know food like this takes time & they’re always giving the same great experience to each person who walks in the door. Make sure to try the Snake Bite and check the case for equally delicious Treats. I got the Key Lime Pie and it was perfect! 10/10 recommend.

Came during the first week of their inception and was not disappointed. Service was exceptional with your normal wait time of a pizza place, which based on previous reviews is great to see how quick they made adjustments.

The pizza — We got The Big Cheesy and Hot Honey Summer. Both were on point with what the menu described. Almost no flop and the undercarriage was cooked a nice golden brown. Will definitely come back.

Great pizza with several neat menu options! I have a 4 month old that’s sensitive to dairy; my wife is breastfeeding the new baby so that means my wife is dairy free until the new kiddo adjusts. She’s been craving pizza for the past several months and this is the first pizza place we found that had a legit dairy free option that was a substitution and not just removing the cheese! Amazing!

I ordered online and it was very easy to select what we wanted on the pizza and to leave an extra note emphasizing why dairy free was so important. The pizza was ready to go right when I got there. It was also pretty cool to see the two employees that were on shift look happy and like they were actually enjoying their job. Management must be doing something right. Great to see a local business in the area putting out a good product and taking care of their employees! Definitely worth giving them a try!

Visited recently and the service was fantastic. My 5 year old accidentally knocked over her water directly ontop of her freshly delivered pizza. Our server noticed and immediately offered to make a new pizza for her without me even saying anything. Super kind. Super gracious.

The kids pizzas are perfect size and include a tasty cookie or rice krispy.

I ordered the snake bite and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and texture.

Super family friendly. They had activity sheets, crayons, and plain paper for the kids to draw and be creative.

Highly recommend. Will return again!

My wife and I first experienced Ciao Down at the the Dodge Rd location. We loved it and visited several times. Needless to say we were thrilled when we learned about the opening a store in Oro Valley.

Our first visit to the new location in OV was on a Sunday afternoon was rough. There were a few people seated and a couple of others for take out. We ordered and expected a 15-20 min wait to be served. Our wait turned out to be 40 minutes with no explanation until we asked the person at the counter, who offered a simple “we got busy”.

Our second experience was when we ordered six pizzas for takeout. Because it was a large order and online ordering was not offered at that time, my wife visited the OV store earlier in the day and placed the order. paid for it and was assured it would be ready by 5:15PM as requested. When i arrived to pick up the six pizzas at 5:15PM, the pizzas had not even been started. The explanation was “sorry but we got slammed”. Since we were hosting a neighborhood get together, I had no option but to wait what turned out to be an additional 30 minutes for my order.

Today, we ordered online and received an email confirmation that our order would be ready at 5:26 PM. When i arrived the pizzas were nowhere to be found. The young man working the counter (who was there for each of the visits described above) couldn’t find my order. He conferred with another young man who was making pizzas who came to the counter and explained while I had ordered correctly and paid for the order, my order somehow did not “transfer” to the system that is used to tell them which pizzas need to be prepared.

My wife and I are really trying to give Ciao Down in OV a chance but after three consecutive disasters, I don’t know if we have it in us to continue. The food is great!! The owner is working hard to make his business work. Something is wrong with the operation of this store.

I am sorry to leave such a negative review and I sincerely hope that the OV location’s service and operation is improved.

5 different pizzas ordered, all 5 were knock outs. Service was on point and seating capacity about 30 inside & seating outside as well. That’s 25 more seats than any pizza joint in NY. Good job Ciao Down, welcome
