Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food here. Really great food and they come quick. The banh xeo was crispy all the way through which usually isn’t how it’s supposed to be made. It’s supposed to be soft on the inside. The chicken was great and so was the rest of the food. Will definitely be back to have the rest of their menu!

I ordered two shakes, jackfruit and apple custard—and was really disappointed with both. They both tasted like plain milkshakes, with no noticeable fruit flavor at all. The jackfruit shake, in particular, was white, when it should have had a slight yellow color. It didn’t taste like jackfruit, just sweet milk, almost like a sorbet drink. It honestly seemed like they ran out of fruit but didn’t mention it, just served me whatever they had.
The apple custard shake had no sourness at all, which is surprising since custard apples usually have a tangy flavor. It was just sweet and bland.
Each shake cost $9, and I told the cashier that it was overpriced for what it was. Her response was that she would let her boss know, but I didn’t feel like my concern was taken seriously.
I also ordered a bun bo xao, and the beef inside tasted strange, more like pork and was chewy. It seemed like it was stir-fried quickly to make it cook faster, but it didn’t have any real flavor.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was nearly empty at lunch, with only a few people dining, which is unusual for most restaurants that have at least half the seats filled. Definitely not worth the visit..

I drove all the way to get a good chicken pho but found most of the nearby restaurants were offering beef broth on the chicken pho, which I did not want. Went to this place and was disappointed to see the quality. The vegetarian rice rolls were below average and dry inside. The chicken was chewy and honestly I was scratching my head why I came here.

Viet food? Worst experience I ever had with Viet food. We went for the Cabramatta experience. Took a Singspore visitor for Viet food which we have been raving to him about. The fresh herbs and salads aplenty and the Viet sweet vinegar chillied sauce to dip the hanoi rolls, fried chicken etc in.
The food were Such a Disappoiintment and an embarrasment to the Viet cuisine. Very Bad experience. We ordered 2x roll your own rice rolls, 2x Hanoi rolls and 2x sugar prawn stick, 2 bowls of pho , a spicy bowl of pho, lemon grass chicken rice, 2x egg omelette and couple of drinks, all amount to $275. Most expensive Viet dinner so far snd tasteless. The salads with the lettuce to wrap your hanoi roll in was non existent. The egg omelete was tough as its thick with flour and very chewy when it should be light and crispy. The pho was so substandard that I hardly touched it. The rice roll…where iwas the sauce for that. The hanoi roll was not cut up for easy bite size and where was the SAUCE!!!. All we got was diluted fish sauce with a hint of vinegar!.
Whats the verdict from all 9 of us. Except for one local who introduced this place, all 7 ir 8 of us gave it the thumbs down. No wonder the shop was deserted except for us an a couple if other diners. I should have done my research and read the reviews before booking.
Definately wont return. I would recommend Pho Vien for the egg imelette, the dry rice noodle with spring roll, grilled beef or chicken with salad. Served with Authentic Viet sauce. Pho Vien has great crispy light egg omelette. Pho Vien doesnt believed in diverse menu so no fried noodles etc as its not Viet food they say. Even Campsie for Viet but not Thanh Binh in Cabramatta.

As a local, I’ve been to this restaurant a few times over the past 10 years. It seems like they may have switched chefs since my last visit, and I have to admit, I was a bit let down this time around.

While the portion sizes were generous and satisfying, the taste wasn’t quite up to par with what I remember. The quality of the dish itself was average, but it did the job of filling me up.

Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great either – my server got my order wrong initially. On the bright side, the food did come out quickly. Overall, I’d say Thanh Binh is a decent spot to grab a filling meal, but don’t expect a gourmet experience. I’m hopeful that my next visit will be better.

This place is a gem in Cabramatta. The atmosphere is in line with all restaurants there (nothing fancy) but the dishes were all so tasty and mega cheap for what you get. Sugar cane prawn wrap, duck salad and congee is highly recommended by me! Loved them all

Was looking for an authentication Vietnamese place for lunch whilst in Cabramatta today.
Gave this restaurant a try.
Pho- noodles was great and not overcooked, soup base was flavoursome but not as beefy as others I’ve tried. Beef was soft and tender
I also ordered a rice vermicelli dish with prawn and lemongrass pork and this was a stellar of a dish. Noodles was cooked great and was still warm when they served it, the sugar cane prawn was excellent and even the lemongrass pork was delicious.
Tomato rice and chicken- the chicken was dry but rice was soft

2022: Ordered combination vermicelli and beef pho. Both dishes were amazing, one of the best. Tea provided as well. Would certainly dine in again, absolute favourite

Edit:
Visited again in 2024, portions of the meat had decreased significantly. More bean sprouts than udon noodles for the udon dish, bun rieu had a lot of fish cakes than meat or anything else, while the tofu dish had a lot of starch in the sauce. The tofu was just tofu puffs that were really hard and not spongy inside, tasted really bad. Dishes were $19 each. Unfortunately would not return and changing from 5 ⭐️ to 1 star.

The DIY rice paper rolls are excellent here and we travel to Cabramatta just to eat them at this restaurant. The sugar cane is cooked well, soft and delicious and the spring rolls are the best Vietnamese spring rolls I’ve had; crunchy and soft on the inside. Prices have increased recently but… inflation.
