I’ve had mine cooked a bit too long once so it was a little toasty. 🙁 When walking up to the counter to order, sometimes I feel ignored. I’m never “greeted” and taking orders seems to be a lengthy process for them. Although they are a bit pricey, both my husband and I really love their pizza, so we will be coming back.
The employees are super friendly and the place is very clean. Can’t wait to come back and try some different topping combinations. Oh did I mention a pitcher of soda for just a few bucks? This place knows how to do it well!
We decided to Yelp the highest rating pizza place and try it out. This place was one of them. We went in on a Sunday around 1130. The place was pretty empty. I noticed outside they grow their own basil, oregano, parsley, and other herbs. Inside, there was a kidder area with chalk, chalkboard, and some legos. They also have some nice big flat screens that were running the games on that morning. Sweet.
I was helped by Shelby who was super awesome. She was friendly and took the time to explain all the different types of pizzas and she was very enthusiastic which is hard to come by nowadays.
We decided to go with the slices so we could try more items. I got the deep dish Pestoriffic, my husband got the Kitchen Sink, and my baby the Supremo. We also got some garlic knots and a cannoli. Their “slices” are huge. It’s a quarter of a 20” pizza, so more like 4 slices.
I was expecting some awesome pizza and this is what happened… I took a bite of my Pestoriffic pizza and instantly had a FOODGASM. I never knew it was possible, but it is. It was like an explosion in my mouth that sent tremors through to my SOUL. It was like that viral video of the little kid eating bacon for the first time. Just believe me when I say it was an amazing experience.
My husband had a similar experience, although his was more quiet (LOL). You can TASTE the freshness and quality. You can pinpoint the basil, fresh tomatoes, and all the spices in just one bite. They said that they import all their meats and such from Italy and I believe it.
My picky son who normally eats two bites and then plays with his food ate two regular sized slices. He’s TWO! But he loved it!
The garlic knots were good, but I don’t think that I will get them again. I’d rather just have more pizza.
The cannoli is the best I have ever had. The outside was perfectly crispy and crunchy, and the inside was perfect. The chocolate chips on the ends was that good chocolate, not the bland flavorless chocolate that some places put on there.
If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Even though we are coming from Ewa, we will definitely making the trip out to Kaneohe more often for more of this delicious pizza. I can’t imagine wasting my money on Pizza Hut or Papa Johns any more.
Be prepared to have the best pizza ever!
If you’re going to have incredibly overpriced pizzas you better have the quality to match the price. In my opinion is place is just a tourist trap for people looking for New York Pizza, chicago deep dish and so on and doesn’t HARDLY live up to the claims. Terrible!
My large Italian salad was more like a bowl of lettuce with very few toppings matching the price and the size. And then my husband’s pizza now it was by his own mistake that he ordered a “plain cheese Neapolitan pizza” when he was asked which kind he said marinara but didn’t realize it didn’t have cheese. The cashier looked at him as if he had ten heads but continued to ring it in. Though this is hardly the cashier’s fault it would be helpful to remind a customer that this is a cheeseless pizza perhaps.
Nonetheless the pizza was extremely disappointing. It would help to clean out the soot and debris from your oven before repeatedly making pies. Having a nice char on the bottom of your pizza and it being nice and crispy is one thing… But tasting the leftover cornstarch, flour or what have you from the last several pies stuck to the bottom of your pie whole nother thing. Just tasted gross. The marinara sauce lacked favor and seasoning and was incredibly oily.
Ordered 6 garlic knots and got about a dozen and a half a good ten minutes AFTER the rest of the order. The dipping “sauce” tasted like tomato paste right of a can.
But what really takes to cake is hearing some young self entitled employee name Shelby broadcasting, “Shelby needs to go home because she doesn’t feel and she blood drawn today…” seriously is it necessary that you have to let the entire restaurant aware and why do I want to hear you whine when I am already choking down tasteless overpriced food. Also since you are not feeling well I hope you were not involved in prepating my food.
Save your money and go somewhere else.
