If you’re going to charge premium prices, and decorate the room like an above average establishment which it does look like. Then your food must also be above average. When it comes to sushi. There is skill involved in slicing lets say sashimi. They shouldn’t be super thick as it isn’t pleasant, nor does it enhance the flavor of the bite! No one wants a big mushy slice of fish. I get some folks think huge is great, but I must disagree totally. In Japan you won’t find this kind of thing. There used to be a sushi chef there and owner that was dialed in and classicly trained in Japan. Since selling this restraunt every owner since including this latest owner thinks huge cuts are what drives the business perhaps. I don’t really know for sure. Not good. Moving on, when an above average restraunt with high prices can’t even on a consistent basis bring the food to the table all at once, that’s a problem. They bring one item at a time ranging in time. Ten minutes fifteen minutes sometimes beyond, well that truly sucks!!! Or you order a dish that has blue fin tuna and it is absent from the dish. Like shouldn’t the chef know the menu. At least the waiters should check dishes before taking to the table making sure its what the customer ordered. Thats my contention regarding this Little Tokyo. I really hope they address these issues to justify premium prices. Or, I will not be back. I eat sushi at least 3 times a week every week. This place is in walking distance from my home and I like to support local businesses. But not if they don’t do the basics like bringing out all the food so customers can eat all together!!

The food is great, appetizers are good, drinks are good! Geisha roll is one of my favorites and they absolutely delivered. I feel the rolls are smaller compared to different places, but still definitely worth it. Fried squid was nice and crunchy, very delicious. Takoyaki was nice and hot.
Sushi came out pretty quick! The only problem I had was that I finished my sushi before any appetizers came out. Had 3 servers come ask about the meal and I had to tell them that we were waiting for appetizers for a while. After the last one they did come out pretty quick.
About 5 minute wait time to get all of our rolls. 15-20 minutes for everyone to finish their sushi. And another 10-15 minutes for our appetizers at the end. Nothing against the servers or staff, there were a lot of customers that came after my party.
Overall a good experience, would recommend, and would come back!

This was my first time getting sushi in San Dimas, and I couldn’t have picked a better place! The restaurant has a clean, calm atmosphere that makes for a great dining experience. The service was outstanding—friendly, respectful, and attentive staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. And the sushi? Absolutely delicious! I’ve definitely found my new go-to sushi spot.

My husband ordered a ZenRoll and a rainbow roll. I ordered a bento box with teriyaki chicken and a California roll it also came with misu soup and a side of rice and a salad. The miso soup came out first then we got our meals together. The food was excellent and it was the largest serving of a bento box of ever received and we love this place by our house with bento boxes but this was way better and very reasonable. Our server was very attentive and he recommended the Zen roll to my husband absolutely loved it.

Great place for Japanese food, especially sushi. I have had lunch here several times, always great. The outside makes one feel this restaurant is small or dingy, it is not. Once you enter you are greeted with an expansive dining room with plenty of seating and a sushi bar. Service is always excellent.

It was such a pleasant surprise. Everything we got was delicious specially the nigiri pieces (I stole he unagi and the shrimp from my bf lol).
The Osaka Sushi set came with: Yellowfin tuna, salmon, black snapper, yellowtail, tamago, shrimp, seared albacore, halibut, unagi, squid, and kanpyo maki.
Haha in the first picture I already ate half of the hero albacore roll since it came before the other two. I think the hero albacore would taste better if it has some citrus sauce but it was still good tbh.
The giant roll was sooo damn good the way I ordered it. It has salmon, spicy tuna, and scallop. This is my favorite of the two rolls we had.

Came in for some good Japanese food while visiting family in LA! My brother loves Japanese cuisine and this is a go-to place for them.
We ordered the Poke bowl as well as sushi rolls and tempura! They are all pretty yummy and we really enjoyed the food and the company!
