Stopped at this Lee’s Chicken location for the first time tonight. Everything came as ordered. The chicken, biscuits and all the sides were fresh and hot. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Had to wait a little bit for the food and the drive-thru line but it was well worth the wait. I will revisit this location soon.

My parents wanted to meet here. My dad loves liver and gizzards and says they have the best! We ate and hung out for a long time. The food was good but the service was excellent. The young lady taking orders was so welcoming and friendly. She welcomed us and thanked us when we left. The owner also stuck his head in the drive thru to thank us for coming in too. The biscuits are delicious and so was the chicken bowl. They have an outdoor seating area, dining area is open and clean and the drive thru is open as well. It was a great experience. They also offer catering services.

The chicken is fantastic. They get fresh chicken every morning, so they may run out at night. They only serve the famous original recipe there and it is not as spicy as KFC, but it is also not as greasy. The chicken was very good, highly recommend it.
I saw something on the menu here that I haven’t seen since I lived in the South, chicken livers and gizzards. So I had to order some. They were SOOOO good. The best I ever remember eating. So fresh and tender, full of flavor and I had to go back for just gizzards 2 days later.
The pecan pie is delectable and my wife said the apple pie was fantastic too. The apple pie is like McDonalds original fry pie, not their baked pie they offer now.
The customer service was great, the gentleman up front was very nice and helpful. Especially after I told him it was my first time there.

I usually have an amazing experience at this restaurant but about a week ago I went through the drive thru and order a 12 piece spicy wing. It was horrible! They were the largest wings I have ever had and we’re so rubbery that they were inedible. I ate one and had to throw the rest away. I reached out to the corporate office but only heard they would look into this. Haven’t heard anything since. I love Lee’s but this makes me not want to visit again. It was that bad!

Stopped by Friday night around 630pm. Cashier was filthy dirty. The back of the house gentlemen had no hair net.
Place with filthy dirty. Female cashier took her head set off. Ya know it’s take out only. Sign says they close at 9pm.
Cashier had no customer service attitude. Extremely rude. She obviously thought I was an interruption.
Asked about livers and gizzards. We are out and surely not making any more. Ya can obviously see I’m busy with the drive through. They were understaffed with only 2 people.
Trash was overflowing, tables were dirty. The department of health should shut this unsanitary location down.
Worst experience in my lifetime. Doubt I will ever be back. Wife, I and grandson like to stop after church.
Not sure I’ll ever go back. No signs saying dining room closes early.

Lee’s chicken, fairly localized and started in Ohio, is a great fast food chicken joint that I often boast is better than KFC!
Highly recommend, stopping in one, if you ever pass during travels.
The Newark, OH location had polite employees, prompt service, and the food was as tasty as I’ve always recollected and believed it to be.
Sadly, this restaurant has been around for awhile and it shows. The dining room was nice enough, tables were clean, floor was swept, and the old entertainment decor is appealing. But, the building appears quite dated, and behind the scenes beaten. Kitchen looked rough, bathrooms weren’t upkept well, and the pop machines and other thing’s were totally out of order.
From a day to day operations standpoint, great customer service and great food. From an overall company standpoint, this location is in dire need of updates, and desperately needs corporate to put some cash back into it and give it the appeal it had in the past. It isn’t an appealing place to eat, overall, and certainly for those who don’t know the chain, may be a factor that drives new would be customers, away.

So I come here every time I go to see my mom. I always get the large liver meal. That’s eno6for the both of us to eat. The other food is just as good. I do enjoy the spicy chicken as well .

We ordered the party pack! Excellent portions! Chicken was fresh and delicious. Staff polite and friendly with a large order with no prior notice. Everyone loved the entire meal: chicken, Mac & Cheese and potato wedges! The iced tea and lemonade fresh and good. We will be back to try the country fried steak and liver and gizzards!
