Classic Sconnie bar with great atmosphere and music that improves rather dominates the scene. Try his special of the week, it’s always yummy!

Quaint, quirky & quiet bar, a good place for conversation, or to play cards! Limited, but (at least recently) reliable hours. Sometimes has a home-cooked dinner option (besides the frozen pizzas, etc.). If so on your visit, I’d recommend trying it. I’ve been pleasantly surprised each time. Reasonable and good (but not extensive) local beer options. Great little local one-man establishment.

Great place that unfortunately is rarely open. When it is open it’s the nicest place in town to grab a beer by far. They always have a great selection of different craft beers on tap and it rotates regularly. The bar seems to be run more as a hobby than as a business and is often closed during popular times. The limited food menu looks great but I haven’t ordered any because the one person working seems pretty swamped every time I have stopped. Just ordering a beer can take quite a while but at least he is pleasant and friendly. If you can catch it when it’s open it’s worth a visit.

Belleville Ale House is a delightful place. It’s homey and cozy, decorated with cool odds and ends like vintage breweriana and taxidermy. It’s a nice place to relax and chat with the friendly folks that hang out there.
Sometimes there’s live music on the weekends, there’s a nice shuffleboard table and darts too. Food isn’t always available, but the owner was a chef once and sometime whips up a big batch of something on the weekends. The last time here, he made gumbo and cornbread, and it was great.
Beer selection is nice, drafts are all local WI craft beers, plus the usual stuff in bottles. Unlikely gem of a place, makes a nice quick getaway from New Glarus if overrun with tourists.

I hope I can expose this gem in Belville.
There is always a great tap list. Home like atmosphere and a semi small food menu.
Everything is delicious.
