Randomly happened upon Le Grand Café for dinner one evening, and my wife and I really enjoyed the meal. Waters were very patient with my awful attempts at French, but spoke good English, thankfully! Food was great, we both had the steak for main and loved it. I decided to brave the escargot and they were really quite good! Great drinks too, as well as music/ambiance. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

Such a wonderful experience and exceptional service along with freshly prepared quality produce at this restaurant. Wine was recommended to us which was a wonderful glass of rose. I had the set menu of the day (there was a choice of two) one fish (salmon) one meat (duck). Amazing starter and dessert. My husband ordered sea bass for his main. Both delicious. Waiters spoke English so we’re able to assist us in translating the menu. Prices were so reasonable.

What a marvellous genuine French masterpiece! Madame is “formidable” and we met some real French clients, regulars, who could not have been more friendly. Food isn’t the main thing. It’s a bar with character. Highly recommend you have at least one demi.
