While walking on the Centennial trail with my daughter, Kaylah on 9/9/23. We fell hungry and opted for Mexican food for lunch. We found Molé restaurant along our walkway and decided to make a pit stop. Thankfully, there weren’t a whole bunch of people yet. It was a gorgeous sunny day so we sat outside with a beautiful view overlooking the Spokane River. It was not a clear view due to an obstruction of some leafy vine plants that covered the railing. That made it not so pleasant In order to truly see the view, you literally had to stand. It would’ve been best to have bar height tables and chairs to capture the view and the dining experience outside would be lovely.

The interior of the restaurant is pretty large with nice decor, art mural, clean and comfortable ambiance.

Our server was nice and made recommendations. We were offered complimentary chips and salsa which we enjoyed. The salsa was good I ordered the Baja Fish tacos which were delicious I enjoyed it paired with horchata drink. My daughter ordered the Empanadas Fritas. She stated was pretty good.

We would return to try other items on the menu.

Food is always great when we come! This is one of our favorite spots, service is always quick and the atmosphere feels homey, it can be a bit loud around late dinner time but honestly not terrible. Also this hot sauce served with the ceviche is GAS, we were able to find some at de Leon’s grocery store.

The food was actually extremely disappointing. It looked good, and the servers were great it was very fast coming out, but the mole rojo was very bland, the pork was fatty and cartilaginous. My husband also was extremely upset. His barbacoa de barrago seemed to be disconnected from the rest of the plate and the flavors did not complement each other. He described it as very bland. I also got a quesadilla with Oaxaca cheese and it had cheddar instead and tasted like a gringo made it. I went to Oaxaca a few months ago and was very excited to show him, but we left after spending $85, and my husband was very upset. Maybe the chef needs to redo their recipes or something.

Bold Flavors and Scenic Views – A Must-Visit Mexican Gem in Spokane

Molé is a delightful find in Spokane—a Mexican restaurant that truly lives up to its name, with refined dishes and layered flavors that stay with you long after the meal. I ordered the ceviche mixto, and it was exquisite. Featuring four types of seafood swimming in a rich, creamy tigre de leche, the dish burst with spice, citrus, and zest, striking the perfect balance of bright acidity and indulgent creaminess. My only regret? The portion size was smaller than I hoped—I could have easily devoured two servings and still wanted more. In fact, I asked for a spoon just to make sure I didn’t leave a single drop behind.

The tortilla chips and salsa served as an appetizer were also memorable. The corn tortilla chips were the perfect thickness—clearly house-made—and paired beautifully with a smoky, charred tomato salsa. While the blue corn chips were a bit thinner than I usually prefer, both styles were satisfying, and neither was overly salty, which let the salsa’s deep, roasted flavor shine.

And let’s not forget the view—the patio seating overlooks a charming bridge and waterfall, offering a peaceful and picturesque backdrop to the meal. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

I absolutely loved the vibrant colors, tangy flavors, and thoughtful preparation in every element of the meal. I’m already planning to come back to try more ceviche options—maybe the aguachile next time for a spicier kick.

Molé is a must-visit for anyone exploring the Spokane area and craving elevated Mexican cuisine with heart, heat, and soul.

We arrived and were welcomed fairly quickly. Walking in on a Frday afternoon, with no reservation, we were seated very quickly.

We began with homemade chips and salsa. They were hot and crispy. Very good.

I ordered a drink, Blueberry margarita. Really good, but was a little light on the alcohol.

We ordered food; it was a nice amount of food for the price. I haven’t had that good of Mexican cuisine for a while. It was amazing. We will definitely go back again.

Great bartending and service, staff is amazing and attentive. Food was 0.5/5. $30 shrimp dish to go was a mess and hardly any present. It was the end of the night and it definitely showed.

Visited Mole for the first time last night. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the cocktails were great. The mole tamales were very authentic. I will say the portions of the sides were very small but over all it was balanced and satisfying. The habenaro ribeye was full of flavor and it’s presentation was excellent. One of the members got the chili rellleno and she stated it was the best she had in town. We will go back to try this establishment again.

Hands-down one of the most elegant and tasteful Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. I was truly impressed by everything! This place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully; I adore the light fixtures and plant accents. The chips and salsa are the best I’ve ever had (I truly could not get enough). Our server was incredibly generous and friendly. I could rave on and on about this place! I was truly blown away. This would be the perfect place to go on a romantic date or out to lunch with friends. I tried the Al Pastor Tostadas and it was all I could do to not lick the plate! Every bite was devoured from every plate at our table. Everyone in my party was extremely happy with their food. This won’t be my last time here, that’s for sure! One of my absolute new favorite restaurants in Spokane. I will add that this restaurant is a tad expensive, but in my honest opinion – IT IS WELL WORTH IT! Highly, highly recommend!
