The pizza here was above average, solid, but not fantastic. The primary issue was that the pizza was cold. This business uses DoorDash for their delivery rather than in-house drivers like several competitors in the area. Nowhere on their website do they state that; had they, I wouldn’t have ordered delivery from them and would’ve picked up instead. I placed and received confirmation of my order at 6:46 PM. At 6:51 PM I received a text stating my delivery time had been updated to 7:33 PM followed by a second text stating a driver had been assigned. The ticket on the pizza had a timestamp of 7:01 PM. Unfortunately, per another text, the driver didn’t even pick up my pizza until 7:33 PM, and the food wasn’t delivered until 7:50 PM. While I can’t be 100% positive as I’m only working off of texts and the ticket, it sure appears that my pizzas sat in the store for some time before the driver got there. My house is approximately 12 minutes from the shop, so it doesn’t appear the driver spent too much extra time between the shop and my house. This type of latency and general disregard for the customer is precisely why I refuse to do business with DoorDash or businesses that utilize DoorDash. I haven’t decided if I’ll frequent this pizza shop again, but in person next time, but I do know, however, that I’ll never order delivery from them again. As a former in-house pizza delivery person myself, I know that on busy nights it can easily take an hour for delivery. The difference is, on those nights, assuming the shop is staffed properly, the delay is simply due to the backlog. The pizzas should be in the driver’s hands within a couple of minutes. It shouldn’t take 15-30 mins for the driver to leave the shop with them, and the driver should have a warming bag, which the DoorDash driver did not. If Gianni’s wants to deliver a quality product to their customers, they should consider improving their delivery process.

FOOD POISONING – Have ordered here twice – first time the pizza was super greasy, but was decent. Second time – I requested thin crust and well done, they completely ignored that request – the double kick to the shin was that I got FOOD POISONING. Based on other reviews, the people working here do not practice hygienic food handling. I highly recommend not eating here.

Tried out the gluten free pizza crust tonight. I think it may even be the same crust that seasons uses
I would suggest asking for the cheese and sauce as close to the edge as possible. In hindsight I would probably request extra sauce too. For me it would taste a bit better with less “crust” unless you have a dipping sauce

Great spot in Trolly Square. A lot options to choose from and pizza tastes so fresh. Definitely give this place a try next time in the city!

This place is great. Granted you have to use the “Slice interface “, but when you figure it out, you have real input to what you really want. I’m allergic to cheese and you can input that into the order. Well needless to say I was impressed. My order was perfect and delivered on time as promised. The food was great and I am now a firm customer. 5 stars******
We have now ordered from Gianni’s Pizza 5 times and not once has anything been even slightly wrong. The Slice program I have now mastered and works Great. The delivery time you get too choose and it is always on time. Really glad to have found Gianni’s Pizza after being disappointed in several others! 10 Stars if possible! ***** *****

Heat up a slice or order a whole pizza to go. It’s on a corner of a building. Can’t miss it. Idk… tastes kinda boxy. You get use to the taste as you keep eating not the best pizza in Wilmington, DE.

From out of town, and this was hands down the nastiest pizza I’ve ever had! Pizza was very doughy and undercooked as you can see, and who put’s pizza sauce with Buffalo and bbq chicken pizza? . The Wing’s was extremely soggy as you can see in picture as well, Considering they put the wings in a plastic container instead of a foam container. Duh! Which explains all that condensation in the container. And you get 6 slices instead of 8, we ended up throwing the pizza out it was that horrible!!!!! Never again, the worst the worst the worst!!!!!!
