What a wonderful new addition to the Catonsville area!! Arrived early for the second day of the grand opening, and boy am I glad I did! By the time I sat down after I ordered it was packed!

Ordered at 11:30, and had my beverage by 11:40, and my food by 11:55. The food and beverages are handcrafted so the wait was understandable. The cafe has a wonderful atmosphere, with plenty of seating! Since it was the grand opening, the cafe filled up very quickly. Once the fever calms down, it will be a wonderful spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the calming atmosphere.

I ordered the Hojicha Latte, which tasted like chocolate milk with a black tea aftertaste! Very delicious. I ate the Berries Pancakes, which were very fluffy and sweet, but the tartness of the fruit blended together very well. For dessert, I enjoyed the Chocolate Sando. It is essentially chocolate mousse inside bread, and very dense, but as a chocolate lover I enjoyed it!

Overall I am impressed with the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff, and the beautiful decorations and vibe of the store. Please be patient with wait time as they get started, but their app does give an accurate estimate as well as rewards.

Absolutely the Best Japanese Café

Fukado Japanese Cafe truly exceeded all my expectations! The drinks were incredibly delicious — perfectly balanced, refreshing, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every sip.

The desserts were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and not overly sweet — just the perfect balance. The presentation was also stunning, almost too pretty to eat!

The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and impressively quick. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and everything arrived promptly without feeling rushed.

The atmosphere was cozy, clean, and relaxing — a perfect spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet treat for yourself.

I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese drinks and desserts.

This is place is a really nice addition to the shopping center. Picking up a snack after shopping will be fun. It has a lot of seating but people were being greedy and staying there pretty long after they ate, so getting a seat might be hard.

I went for the grand opening and it was PACKED. I would not go on a weekend or during lunch until things calm down it took ONE HOUR to get 3 items.

I think they did a good job considering how packed it was. I don’t think anything they have was really special for me to travel out of my way to come back though.

Berry drink with the cheese foam. The cheese is sweet and the drink was good.

I had the orange iced tea and it does have an aftertaste of orange which I liked.

I had the fried corn croquet and takoyaki. They were both good, but nothing special.

My husband had the strawberry sando, which would be hard to mess up honestly and he really enjoyed it.

I think I like the drinks over the food overall.

I would go back if I was in the area, but I rarely go to that city.

Absolutely loved this place! The matcha desserts were amazing — not overly sweet and full of real matcha flavor. The pork cutlet sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. You can really tell the drinks are made with quality ingredients. We’ll definitely be coming back with our kids!

Definitely try their soufflé pancakes and coffee! Egg salad sandwich is like what I would get in Japan! Yum!!! Corn on the cob is yummy, mango tea is made from real fruits and juice! Desserts and drinks are not overly sweet which is what I can appreciate. Love this place!

Went during the opening weekend. Space was very cute. They were slammed when I arrive after 12, thankfully after I placed my order I received a text message with my ETA so I just walked around Lotte to kill time. It took about twenty minutes to get my order of two drinks out but opening weekend so it was expected. I will give them about two weeks and try them again.

I’d suggest everyone to not come for few weeks, as this place is extremely busy and quality is impacted.
Waited for about one hour from when we entered till we got our food. Things we wanted to try, like donkatsu sando was already sold out even though we arrived at 12:15pm.
Egg sando was dry and not flavorful, the beef riceball was falling apart/hard to eat but was tasty. The cream sando didn’t have much cream.
I’m impressed though they kept up with the on-coming customers.

Fukado Japanese Cafe is an absolute must-visit! Every dish is a work of art — from the impossibly fluffy soufflé pancakes topped with boba pearls, to the matcha pancake drizzled with cream and fresh fruit. The takoyaki and crispy tempura-style snack added a fun savory twist to the menu. The presentation is incredibly creative and cute (love the little branded flags and cactus decorations!), making everything feel extra special. A perfect spot for anyone who loves Japanese café culture with a playful, modern touch. Already planning my next visit!

Everything on the menu is worth the try.
We have not had drinks this good since we were in Taiwan and Japan many years ago. Not only their drinks but the other items have fresh ingredients and definitely underpriced in my opinion.
