We have eaten here several times and usually the catfish is very good. They were small and slightly over cooked tonight. The salad bar is limited but everything seems fresh and the coleslaw is some of the best. Hushpuppies are excellent as well! If you can get a lakeside table it’s a nice view. Our server was excellent; however, it took over 30 min to get our entrees even though there were only a few people there. Prices are very reasonable.

I mean, who doesn’t just want to pull up, dock the boat, go inside, and enjoy some lunch? How much fun is that? A lot! And it doesn’t hurt that the food and service is amazing. Jada(?) took amazing care of us today. She’s a little sweetheart and very good at her job.

We kept trying to go back to this place just because its local. We have literally walked out of here TWICE now because the servers act like they have forgotten you are there. The first time we walked out we came in and were seated and it was about 10 min sitting there and no one came by our table or even said “we will be right with you” or anything. It was just like we didn’t exist. We literally got up to leave and then they noticed and told us to sit back down so we stayed and got service. The most recent time we walked out was halloween night, on Friday. We got seated and someone got us drinks this time. But then the servers were literally just standing around and talking to eachother. So my husband and I and our friend all walked out and went to eat Mexican. I honestly dont know what the deal is with the servers at this place. I never have experienced service like this and hardly ever leave reviews. But this place is just something else. The only people that seem like they actually care about their job are the girls bussing the tables. They always seem nice and smile. Many times we went in the past, some servers would literally just be standing there watching tv and never looking around at their tables. Even when we have gotten our food in the past the service has always been bad. We always kept going back and hoping things would be better but its honestly just kept getting worse. I would like to come here since its local. Maybe my review will help management or whoever figure out how to get employees a little better at customer service. Maybe we will try again in a year and see if anything has changed.

First time visiting & no wait getting seated. Wait was to get a waitress. Thx heaven finally one recognized we had not been helped & offered. She was dynamite & so sweet. Salad bar was so crisp & fresh, wonderful.
The fried oyster dinner & fried grouper were good. Not 100% it was grouper but very good fish.
Love the view of the lake.

The ladies were very friendly and helpful and we loved the smaller portions menu! I had grilled grouper with a sweet potato on the side and a salad and my daughter had grilled salmon and steamed broccoli. It was so good and the view outside was gorgeous!!

Service is good, but food isn’t as good as I expected. I am extremely picky with seafood, so that could be why. Just doesn’t taste fresh. Servers were friendly and attentive, but it did take a while to get my food. I placed the to go order around 45 minutes before I actually had food in hand.

I have been going to Lakeside for the past 15 years that we have lived at the Lake. The food is always good but sometimes the service is slow but nothing like I experienced yesterday. It took us an hour and thirty minutes to get our food from the time we were seated. My food came out right but my husband’s order was wrong. The staff was friendly when you saw them but most of the time there was no eye contact. No apologies were offered for the slow service but maybe this is the norm now for them. I won’t be back to find out.
