The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

Honey garlic is the best! Their dumplings and onion rings are delicious as well. We just had food from there last night.

This is a Korean Chicken chain popping up all over NY & NJ. I personally love this food and think that they are making this type of food more accessible to different types of people. The sauces are amazing. Chicken is Crispy even when tossed in the sauce. The Kimchi fried rice is flavorful and great with the egg. My only complaint is the the price is on the higher end for what you get. Though they do have a Open Sandwich Club for $10 which includes a few boneless with a choice of 1 side & 1 sauce and toast.

I was excited to try this place because I’m a regular at pelicana and I saw many people say they prefer bbq chicken to pelicana for Korean fried chicken.

The food: 8/10
Chicken was crunchy and juicy. The flavors are delicious. I was disappointed to find some boneless pieces are not white meat. This may be a plus for some but I like white meat only.

The chicken fried rice looked good but was a let down. For $13 I was expecting bigger chunks of chicken and the rice was hardly fried. It was soft and mushy.

Atmosphere: brightly lit cafeteria style dining. Quiet boring music. No tv screens. No alcohol. Bathroom key. No paper towels in the bathroom only hand dryer.

Service: the workers and kind and friendly but I was turned off by the fact that the point of sale system prompted me to tip when I came to the counter to order standing up and went to pickup my order and then cleaned up after myself. So what am I really tipping for?

Conclusion: the food is great but with a price that’s pretty much identical to pelicana I can’t see any reason to ever go to a bbq chicken again unless I’m traveling and it’s the only option available.

Ordered their $9.99 combo box for takeout and the chicken was SO amazing. Food was ready when I got there, and the man at the front counter was so sweet!

The chicken is insanely juicy and flavorful, even without any dipping sauces. It’s not fried so heavily, the outer crust is super light and doesn’t make you feel like you ate solid metal afterwards.

I got the original golden chicken with 2 pieces of Texas toast and fries, and got a side of their secret sauce which was AMAZING (think a seasoned chik fil a Polynesian sauce). The toast was suuuper buttery and flavorful too, a little too oily for my liking but it was worth the skin breakout.

I will definitely be back here! This reminds me of the fried chicken I’ve gotten in Koreatown and I’m so glad it’s local.

Ignore the messy picture at the end

Soy garlic wings are good. Nice and crunchy and you can taste the soy garlic flavor. Waffle fries are also good. Cost $25 for wings and fries. Little too pricey to make it a regular lunch spot for me. I will try there other food items though.

Update:
Chicken Fried Rice is very good. A lot of flavor and I do like the addition of an egg on top.

They do have slightly cheaper meal options. Will try those next time.

Food is so good. If you know you know if not try it. Super friendly hosts and it is a bit pricey but you def get what you pay for. Food amount is plenty and enough to take home and air fry. Try to go here at least 3 times a month if it was far from home. 10/10 Food cleanliness and so friendly.

First time ordering tonight so we got a variety. The food was totally out of this world. The number 1 best Korean fried chicken, the best fried chicken period. Everyone loved it. Keep it up! The fries were awesome. Such a uniquely amazing flavor!!! 🙂

I ordered the chicken for pick-up and it was undercooked. The inside was pink and raw, almost like raw steak. I couldn’t eat it, which was really disappointing and concerning for food safety.

The food was amazing, super fresh, crispy chicken, flavorful but not overbearing. The staff is super friendly and it’s nice and toasty inside now that it’s cold out. Would totally recommend to anyone! Definitely coming back.

We’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened. It’s in a great location and it’s really clean and welcoming. The lady at the counter was friendly and helped us navigate the menu. But that’s where the good ends. We received our food and already the chicken didn’t look like the photos. The fries were bland and slightly soggy. But worst of all the chicken was just inedible. I’m not sure if this is just what Koreans eat but it’s not tasty to me at all. I’m also not sure what’s with all the positive reviews. For $36 it felt like highway robbery. We literally had two bites and threw the food away. And we’re never coming back.
