The food was a mixed experience. The Crispy Rice with spicy tuna and hamachi didn’t impress. It was served in firm rice squares that were very hard on the outside and softer in the center, but the contrast felt too dense rather than pleasantly crisp. The standout for me was the Delicata Squash Tempura—crispy, light, and flavorful. The other dishes were good but not particularly memorable. The matcha cake was a highlight.
The space itself is beautiful and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows and lovely views. Service was a bit slow but very friendly.
I don’t mean to sound overly critical, but with so many great Japanese restaurants in NYC, there are stronger options that offer more refined execution and better overall value.
Huge thanks to the manager Elizabeth for being incredibly attentive, warm, and professional. And special shoutout to our waiter Pasang, he was so kind, attentive, and made the whole evening feel extra comfortable and enjoyable. Service like this makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend Miru! ✨
The service was excellent, and the staff were so kind and attentive to my friend and me. I enjoyed authentic Japanese food and drinks, which really gave me a taste of the culture. Everything was delicious.
For dessert, I had the matcha and red bean ice cream. I also tried the Crispy Rice, Kushiyaki Wagyu, and the Buta Kakuni. It was such a great experience getting to try dishes I’d never had before.
The menu is just as impressive as the setting, offering a wide variety of Japanese dishes that are both authentic and beautifully presented. Highlights for me were the sashimi salad—so fresh and full of flavor—and the octopus, which was perfectly prepared, soft, and absolutely delicious. Every plate feels carefully crafted, balancing flavors and textures in a way that makes the experience unforgettable.
Next time, I will definitely try their crafted cocktails, which looked amazing and perfectly complement the overall lounge experience.
I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Thank you!
