Newly Opened AYCE Korean BBQ in Brea – Premium Cuts & Great Vibe!

Just tried this new all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot near Brea Mall – the meat quality here is seriously impressive!

First off, the meat is sliced to order, so you know it’s fresh. The variety is huge – besides the usual cuts, they have options like matcha pork belly, curry pork belly, beef tongue, and shank… so many choices it was hard to pick!

We went with the $61 Omakase special menu to try a bit of everything. The portions are generous, so I’d suggest starting with a small selection first.

We sampled all the premium cuts (#1–9), and the starting set alone was stunning – the marbling on the beef was beautiful. My friend joked that back home, just a few slices like this would cost a fortune.

My favorite was the beef short rib – perfectly marbled, juicy, and so flavorful when grilled. The bulgogi was also well-marinated and tender (we ordered seconds!). The beef tongue had a nice chew, and the garlic butter shrimp was fresh and tasty. They also have a good selection of banchan, though we were too full from all the meat this time – next visit I’ll save more room for sides.

The service was attentive – the staff changed the grill plates based on what we were cooking. The dipping sauces were great too, especially the matcha salt, which was subtle and brought out the natural sweetness of the meat.

The atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for hanging out with friends, family dinners, or even casual work gatherings – great for sharing drinks and grilling together.

If you love quality meat and a solid AYCE experience, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Three fifty six bbq already has several locations and this new spot is a welcome addition to the OC. Our servers Jojo and Meiqi were amazing. Ambiance was clean and immaculate. We went with their top tier Omakase menu for $61 and it’s a value for what you get. For example they start you with Wagyu short rib, beef short rib, and the American Wagyu cube short rib. The marbling is exquisite and it just melts in your mouth. Japchae, tofu, and steamed egg before diving into the beef short rib. The kimchi fried rice is so good and you get a great workout when you mix it up. Next up the sliced short rib and the ribeye made for a great palate cleanser. Then they hit us with the Wagyu sushi perfectly torched table side. Moving forward with the green tea pork belly, LA galbi, and the fresh bulgogi. A trifecta of savory flavors. Beef brisket pho was a welcome surprise. Green mussels taste awesome cooked with their brisket sauce. Then the Garlic butter shrimp to finish a great meal. Make sure and visit them soon!

356 Korean BBQ & Bar is such a vibe. The interior is modern, sleek, and super cool, definitely not your typical KBBQ spot. The lighting, layout, and overall design make it feel elevated but still comfortable enough to hang out and enjoy your meal.

What really stands out is the variety of food. From high-quality cuts of meat to all the different sides and options, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re going classic with brisket and short rib or trying some of their other specialties, everything feels thoughtfully curated and fresh.

Great atmosphere, great selection, and just an overall fun place to dine. Definitely coming back.

Amazing Korean BBQ spot! High-quality meats, great service, and a stylish interior. We chose the Omakase option and everything—from the fresh-cut short ribs to the beef tongue, shrimp, and spicy octopus—was outstanding. The heated short rib with onions, scallions, sauce, and cheese was especially delicious. Side dishes were tasty too, especially the kimchi. Slightly pricier than typical AYCE, but absolutely worth it for the quality. Highly recommend!

I heard they have their first location in San Diego, and I was really excited to visit now that they’ve finally opened in Brea. The interior was so unique that it didn’t feel like an AYCE at all. It didn’t feel like a typical KBBQ restaurant the design was really stylish, and even the chairs were uniquely designed.
The meat is freshly sliced right in front of you, butcher-style, as soon as you order. Being able to see it in person made it easy to trust and enjoy. They also change the grill quickly while cooking, and every piece of meat was juicy and delicious. The service was fast and excellent as well.
Additionally, their water is alkaline, which is supposed to be good for your body, and it’s filtered through a four-stage process. I really appreciated the attention to these small details. Recently, many new brands have opened in Brea Mall, and this place seems like the perfect spot to stop by after shopping.

Overall pretty good. It didn’t really wow me or anything but I also have zero complaints. The meats are pretty fresh, I got the lunch basic menu which had a little bit of variety but not much. The grills are slanted which is a little different also the grills are really small. There was not much room even for just two people. The servers are really nice, but they were doing construction or something while they were open. There just isn’t any highlights on any part of this concept which makes me doubt I’ll come back.

The newly opened barbecue restaurant actually has an Omakase menu
While grabbing some boba at Omomo, I made a stop at this new AYCE Korean BBQ spot. Everything about it was surprisingly great If you ask me, what keeps people coming back to a BBQ place is always the quality of the meat, and this place’s meat quality is truly top-notch. Especially the Omakase menu—a slice of imported Wagyu, with its juices and fat mixing together, is unbelievably fragrant.

I initially thought only the Omakase set served at the beginning had good quality, but I didn’t expect the meat that came later to be just as delicious. Most of the meat I randomly ordered was tender and flavorful[赞R]. The Wagyu sushi was also delicious~ Even the shrimp I ordered was huge. Basically, everything I tried was a hit.

Plus, this place has a huge variety of side dishes. Besides the standard KBBQ essentials like steamed egg and corn cheese, they also had pho, dumplings, fries, fried chicken, and kimchi fried rice. It’s such a treat to be able to have so many different things at once.

The ambiance is also very Korean, making it perfect for gatherings. Highly recommend!!! I heard there’s also live music and dim lighting at night, and I can already picture the vibe.

New Korean BBQ AYCE in Brea|356 Korean BBQ Went shopping at Brea Mall this weekend and had some tea from a certain brand! For lunch, we chose this newly opened Korean BBQ buffet nearby! Even though it’s a buffet, the meat is ordered and freshly sliced by the chef on the spot, served fresh one portion at a time. From short ribs, beef tongue, and pork jowl to grilled Wagyu sushi, the quality of the meat was amazing! Even the seafood was impressive. This table really had a full-on Omakase feel~ We ordered: [Short Rib] Oil-marbled and fragrant when grilled to a slight crisp on both sides, juicy and tender in one bite—super satisfying. [Beef Tongue] Thinly sliced and crispy, dipped in their house sauce, it’s a must-order for texture lovers! Pork Jowl Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. When grilled to a golden brown, the fat is rendered out perfectly, and it’s so delicious with the kimchi~ [Grilled Mussel] A combination of spicy chili powder and garlic sauce, the aroma is irresistible when grilled to a slight crisp, completely without any fishy taste. Wagyu Sushi The tableside torch-grilling ritual is top-notch, and the Wagyu is incredibly delicious! [Kimchi Stew] The broth is rich and cuts through the richness, making it the perfect ending to the BBQ feast. The decor is different from typical Korean BBQ restaurants. The overall design is minimalist and beautiful, with soft lighting that’s perfect for photos! It reminds me of a fancy Korean BBQ place I like back home. The entire meal was a high-end Korean BBQ experience~ great ambiance, a sense of ritual, and delicious meat! Restaurant Name: 356 Korean BBQ Address: 2445 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA

Super impressed with 356 Korean BBQ! All the beef is USDA Prime and never frozen — you can literally taste how fresh and juicy it is. The meats before #9 are all must-orders, especially the omakase starting set menu and the 356 Seasoned Boneless Beef Short Rib. Portions and plating feel way above typical AYCE. They even have Cajun seafood and green-tea pork belly flavors!
Great vibes at night and perfect location to walk around Brea Mall after. Definitely worth it.

The food here is outstanding, especially for an AYCE restaurant. All the meats are freshly sliced to order, incredibly fresh, and beautifully marbled. The wagyu platter and wagyu sushi are absolute standouts — tender, rich, and full of flavor. Beef tongue is thin, crispy, and addictive. Every beef cut grills well without drying out, and the marinated options are sweet, fragrant, and satisfying.

Unique items like matcha pork belly and curry pork belly add fun variety, while classics like grilled bulgogi, corn cheese, and steamed egg are comforting and well executed. Even the plating for dishes like beef tartare feels elevated, almost omakase-style.

Overall, the food quality is far above typical AYCE standards — fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious.
