I remember Casa Zamora 50 years ago when they were the only Mexican Restaurant in Rochester. It was good then and still good. Lube has been been here all these years.

While it claims to be authentic Mexican food, the queso was from costco and chips were tostidos. Server didn’t speak Spanish which is unexpected. Service was good. Food was okay however per the reviews it was not what we expected. Only stopped in our way through town.

Some of the best Mexican food in Southern Minnesota!
The owners are awesome and run an amazing restaurant. Everything tastes so authentic and wonderful. Their salsa is phenomenal, especially with some chips, cheese, and sour cream!
Make sure you check the hours before going as they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
We often travel from Mankato, MN to go and eat there… it’s definetly worth the trip.

Best restaurant in the state of Minnesota.
The enchiladas with a side of rice and beans are to die for, not to mention the bean dip is absolutely scrumptious.
Top notch service by incredible people, I look forward to eating here every time we’re in town.

I’m in town traveling. I ate here yesterday and wasn’t feeling great several hours later. I never have stomach aches, but I had one. Didn’t think too much into it. Next day, my gf wants to eat here, she hasn’t tried it yet and there isn’t much in this town for vegetarian options, so I agree and we order again. I’m sick again. Throwing up this time. I realize I just gave myself food poisoning, again. Feeling pretty stupid, but though people should know. Don’t do it.

We’ve been here a handful of times and are ready for another visit. The people are incredible, and the environment is beautifully decorated. The enchiladas are our favorites. We have the best experience every time we come in to Casa.
It’s absolutely worth the two hour drive to eat here.

We ordered doordash last night, enchiladas, a burrito, and chips and queso.
This was such a disappointment of a meal. The rice was so over cooked it was a scoop of mush, the cheese was plastic like and did not melt. The queso was also very plastic in flavor. All the things we ordered had next to no seasoning or salt. I dont usually review food establishments, but, I was incredibly disappointed in this meal and couldn’t even finish it.

The only reason this place has any stars is because you have to give at least one to leave a review.
The place reminds me of a diner in the ghettos of the Caribbean or Jamaica. Run down building, the interior looks like it hasn’t seen soap and water for a decade. It was filthy gross.
This is the first time I’ve ever been to a Mexican restaurant that charges you for store bought, oven warmed chips and bargain basement salsa. Seriously, you aren’t missing anything, skip this abomination, you’ll thank me later.
The rice was seasoned inexplicably with what looked and tasted like ketchup. The refried beans were runny and had dried hard bits in them. The rest of our meals really needs no description because I guarantee you that whatever you order will look and taste the same. Our group had a bunch of different entree items, and we all shared. It didn’t matter if it was a burrito, enchilada or tacos, it all looked and tasted exactly the same: disgusting.
I have no clue why this petri dish is still open.
But, only one person got ill from the encounter, I guess that’s a win for them.
As for the staff, once again I can only assume that the staff are family, as they showed little enthusiasm for a group of seven hungry consumers. We felt like we were imposing, and that’s how we were treated.
Definitely do not recommend and will definitely not be back.

A shabby run down restaurant that maybe locals love but I have no idea why. The chips were merely heated up Tostitos’. The salsa tasted like thick ketchup with vinegar and we had to pay extra to even have any. Was told the lunch specials were only corn tortillas and we would have to pay extra for flour. When our meals arrived there were two enchiladas and 2 soft tacos. Both dripping in some greasy mixture. Neither of us could finish our meals because they were that awful. Sorry if this is the best in southern Minnesota . Waitress was a kind and very elderly lady. Felt bad for her

Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had besides Carlos o Kelly’s. It’s like American Mexican. rice is gross not Mexican rice shredded cheese from a bag meat is dry and has zero flavor. if you want chips and salsa like every other good Mexican restaurant they charge you 3 dollars for 1 order of chips basically the same size as a normal basket at a Mexican restaurant except these are Tostitos from the grocery store and it comes with what they call hot sauce and it taste like spicy pizza sauce all around bad food waiter was decent but she was having her own meal at a table next to us so it would have been a little awkward to ask her if we needed something didn’t wanna disturb her meal you feel me. Go somewhere else.
