Nov 2025: I don’t know what’s happening here, maybe they’re having a hard time keeping up with demand? but this location has not been as good as the original. Constantly running out of things (and I’m not talking about just barbecue either) and the portions have definitely shrunk. Flavor of the rib is still top notch but is sometimes so dry it’s crunchy.
Aug 2025: Yes, this place is by the same owner of RD’s on Nick Davis! Same great service, very friendly, and great food, but closer to town. Highly recommend the homemade sauces. Seating is limited but they will put the tables together for your party. Daily specials are up on the monitor.
Ribs were the same fall off the bone deliciousness.
Wings were different, still delicious but not smoked. Saltier than the smoked, buffalo had a nice bite without being over powering.
Fries and Mac and cheese were both great sides.
Definitely recommend stopping in here to pick up some lunch or dinner, but I still recommend going to the original RD’s for their wings at least once.

The BBQ here was incredibly juicy and flavorful, perfectly cooked with a slightly sweet profile and a tender, smoky finish that never overpowered the meat.

They had the perfect balance of crispy char and bold lemon-pepper flavor. While they were a little on the small side, they were still meaty, well-cooked, and packed with flavor, easily the best wings I’ve had in town.

We’ve been wanting to try the new Slaughter Rd for a while. I love wings and wanted to try theirs. The restaurant was clean and guy covering the counter was super nice. I ordered 20 wings and 1/2 pound of pulled pork. I think they offer 79 cent wings on Saturdays. My order was put together within a few minutes and I left with hot, tasty food. The wings were prepared and insulated in the container with aluminum foil. This kept the wings warm for quite some time. The wings were delicious, the pulled pork was just ok. I would go again to try other items on the menu along with their sides. This review is based only on the meats I purchased.

1/27/26 $43 spent/ I’m not pleased at all about having to leave this type of review with all of the great reviews given. I tried this place out today through Uber Eats because my son recommended it. I was very disappointed in the rib plate. There was more fat than meat, and honey the ribs didn’t taste seasoned at all. The potato salad was too sweet for my liking, but the mac and cheese was good. It reminded me of my grandmother’s mac & cheese growing up. The cat fish was fried hard when I didn’t request it and it was a tad bit too salty. My daughter’s smoked sausage kids meal was fine I guess. I do want to add that the the lady who answered the phone when I called right after placing my order was very nice. Thankfully I uploaded a picture of the food to Uber Eats and will be refunded within a couple of days. Sorry guys but I’m very disappointed and I don’t ever see myself ordering in the future.

The loaded potatoes at RD’s Smokehouse are absolutely incredible! My husband and I go there every Tuesday for date night, and we just love them. The potatoes are perfectly cooked and loaded with so many delicious toppings. We always get extra toppings because it makes them even better—totally worth it! If you’re looking for something tasty and satisfying, these loaded potatoes are a must-try.

RD’s Smokehouse is absolutely amazing and delicious! I go there at least twice a week just to get the manager’s special because it never disappoints. The flavors are incredible, the portions are perfect, and the staff is always friendly. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out!

This is proof to never judge a book by its cover. The food was incredibly tasty and flavorful. Unfortunately the atmosphere is very lacking.
I opted for the loaded baked potato with pork and white sauce. I was not disappointed in the size or flavors. The pork was awesome and very moist. I could truly taste the smoke!!!
But unfortunately the seating and general cleanliness was severely lacking. If they were to upgrade their seating area or just replace with wooden picnic tables it would make a huge difference in the dining experience.
When you walk up to the front door you are welcomed with the wafting smell of smoked meats and your mouth starts to water. Trust me do not leave though because of the seating area. It is truly bare bones.
My comments relate to the Harvest location.

Ate at the Slaughter Road location connected to the gas station. Small dining area with three tables and a bathroom, so suggest getting a to-go order. Got the 10 wings and fries meal, with Honey BBQ and White sauce. Came out to about 18 dollars. The wings were hot fresh and moist. The skin was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Nothing too special about the fries, but good. Definitely liked the Honey BBQ sauce. I will definitely be back to try other items.

Nice little spot! I can’t believe I was passing this for so long and never stopped in. Customer service is great. The food is excellent. The pulled pork sandwich and the loaded baked potato are very good.
