Their coffee is consistently great, and I’ve enjoyed many of their pastries over the years. I used to love their blueberry Danish, so I was a little disappointed to see it gone, but their morning roll is a solid alternative—simple, fresh, and really enjoyable. I definitely recommend trying it.
With friendly staff and an inviting vibe, this café is a place I always return to whenever I’m near Yale.
I also took more photos and videos from this visit and shared them on my Instagram (@chy75bobbi)(@newyork_banana) if anyone’s interested.
I’m an out of towner, but I could definitely tell this is a much-loved local spot. The cafe had many options, quick service, and everything was tasty. It was very busy when I visited and people were practically hovering waiting for a table to open up.
The book store had a GREAT selection of books and stationary.
I will definitely return if I find myself in this area again.
The food and drink from the cafe was excellent, and speed of service was phenomenal. The breakfast sandwich was delicious-nice over-easy egg in the middle and a great portion of crispy bacon on fresh greens all in between a fresh and toasted potato bun. The cold brew was strong and flavorful. There’s plentiful seating in a very pleasant atmosphere to enjoy your breakfast in.
✨☀️ Morning bun was really delicious. Rich flavor with crispy and pliable texture. Highly recommended to cinnamon lovers.
☕️ (seasonal) pink peppercorn and butterscotch latte was smooth with creative flavors. Not too sweet with a hint of spicy pepper!
The corn-based cookie (forgot the name) was interesting, unique flavor. It was chewy in the center and hard at the edge. Not my style but it was ok.
They could’ve been a little nicer they tried to block the stroller from coming in
I tried the healthy chocolate bar sold at the cash register. It is also very enjoyable to have it together with the book section.
The only thing that disturbed me was the fact that the seating areas were separate and there were beggars coming in. They should take this into consideration!
Today? I ordered the croque madame and got charred but somehow soggy remains. Completely burnt all round, ham and cheese overcooked and the beshamel soaked through. Never again.
