Krispy Kreme what happened to your donuts? The staff told me they make the donuts at the Clive location and they only bring 2 trays of strawberry donuts in and they didn’t this morning so I had to go to Dunkin’ for strawberry donuts and I’m thinking I should have just skipped Krispy Kreme because what’s up with the skinny donuts? Where are the sprinkles?

They ran out of the original donuts I came for, but the staff was so cool about everything I couldn’t get upset. I ended up trying different flavors that I hadn’t tried before ended up leaving with strawberry chocolate and lemon drop. All of these were fresh family enjoyed everything wish they had the original Still but didn’t leave empty-handed

Fresh Donuts & Exceptional Service at Krispy Kreme!
From the moment we walked in, the delicate aroma of fresh donuts made it clear we were in the right place. The donuts were soft, and incredibly fresh—exactly what you hope for from Krispy Kreme.
What really stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff were not only friendly, but also knowledgeable—taking time to explain the different flavors available and even pointing out a special offer on the bottom of our receipt to use during our next visit.
It’s that kind of thoughtful service and attention to detail that will make this a must stop on our next trip to Ankeny. A sweet experience all around!

Staff were all in the back and didn’t notice us entering for a few minutes. There were very, very few donuts to choose from despite it only being 9AM. When we explained we had never been to a Krispy Kreme before, we were rudely told the box size options and stared at expectedly. I want to note that we were the only guests in the building except one gentleman who had already been helped, so we were not slowing down/troubling other guests and our entire visit was maybe 2 minutes once staff noticed us. When we asked about blended coffee, staff looked at each other and then said they were out of coffee. I suspect from the other reviews staff don’t want the hassle of blended coffee as this seems to be a pattern and it felt like an inorganic response. It was evident staff wanted to be in the back talking amongst themselves and did not want to service customers as our entire visit felt like an inconvenience. We will not be returning and would urge others to avoid a business that treats you like a burden. Also, our filled donut was almost completely empty (see photo).

I purchased 3 glazed donuts this am. When I picked them up the glaze was hard and the donuts were small and heavy. When you tired to eat the donut, the glaze cracked and fell off in big hunks. They were not eatable. I called and stated I was going to return them and they stated ok, but it is almost not worth the effort….my dogs love them. The clerk was real nice, she said she knew their was a problem, but this store does not make them and she was told to sell them that way. Not a Krispy Creme standard at all. Very displeased.

Nice stop if you’re looking for a fresh donut. It’s not a bakery, so they don’t come fresh off the line, but they do arrive fresh each morning. Service was great during a quick stop with my children.

Quick stop before heading to Minneapolis. Can’t leave Iowa without taking home some Krispy Kreme donuts. Nice clean store, right off Hwy 35. Good selection considered that we stopped at 2:30 pm. Staff was courteous and very fast.

customer service was above and beyond!! Doughnuts look and tasted great but what really got me was the way I was treated. The employee was kind, patient, helpful!! And this was on a Saturday morning so I know she was busy.
