I’ve never seen such a place where a Hawaiian fried rice that looks and taste exactly like Indian fried rice and even smell like Indian fried rice cost almost $25.00 and nothing fancy in it just a few pieces of chicken, cashew nuts and 3 slices of cucumber. A whole 20lb bag of basmati rice which is more expensive than jasmine rice cost $23 in Walmart. I hope owner realize this fried rice cost $10 more than the red beef curry I ordered and even the beer carry the container they use is just a little bit half of it, common guys adjust your price to what really cost more and charge less to is cheaper to buy in bulk. Common sense is needed at this place pricing wise. In conclusion I spend $45.00 for 2 items Hawaiian rice($25.00) and beef curry ($15.00)

(Take Out) Wow- Coconut Shrimp , %100 legitimate, the best I’ve had- large prawns and super crispy , excellent fresh and large summer rolls with a perfect peanut sauce and excellent green curry. Had lower expectations checking out this haunt but am definitely pleased with the quality and authentic , clean taste. Look forward to trying more dishes!

Ate here 3/11/23. The server was awesome and friendly. She added fun to the experience. The dining room was cozy and had a more upscale feel to it than I was expecting. The fresh rolls (summer rolls) were so delicious and came with a slamming peanut dipping sauce. I had the shrimp pad Thai max spiciness and I really enjoyed the flavor. The heat wasn’t too much for me, but I’m a little more experienced in spicy. The firecracker roll had a great flavor and texture balance. I would definitely recommend for Thai / sushi lovers and would eat there again if I’m back in Beaufort.

Nice atmosphere and courteous service. I am so glad we stopped here. The portion sizes are huge and our server was busy but she attended to us well. We had the calamari, sesame chicken and the Thai fried rice with shrimp. Everything was good.

This is a lovely gem of a restaurant that serves up delicious Thai food and sushi. Close to USCB and downtown, Papaya is a cheerful little place with friendly staff, quick service, and a laidback feel. A great array of sushi rolls (some original to the restaurant) and bowls, and a good selection of traditional Thai food. LOVED my Green Dragon Roll and Tom Kha Soup. There was also a fun Thai beverages menu. There were three of us and we all enjoyed our dishes. I thought the prices were very reasonable. So glad to know about this place!

What a lovely first visit! The staff was so friendly and didn’t mind taking the time to explain dishes to me. The Thai tea was recommended and oh that right there makes me want to return. I am southern and love my sweet tea but this tea was complex and on a different level of deliciousness! I ordered the pineapple stir fry and the vegetables were the star of the show. I would have rather had unbattered chicken in the dish but that’s personal preference more than a ding on the dish.
It’s a lovely place and will return.

All I can say is WOW, so similar to actually Thailand food in Thailand. Can’t believe it! Super love this place and definitely have to return many more times. Had Red Chicken Curry level 3 of 5; to get myself used to the heat again. Wife had Level 1 and then changes to zero spice. I asked to make hers a level 3 for my lunch tomorrow.

The restaurant had some of the best spicy pinapple chicken i have ever had. The wateriss was very good at her job. However, the sticky floor and table almost ruined my experience.

Papaya’s Pad Thai & drink selection was spectacular! Thank you Noy for working so hard as our server today! We will be back for great drinks & fresh sushi!
2 pieces of advice: have a sign up that says seat yourself. Direct foot traffic to your beautiful front entrance with papaya trees! The back entrances smells of dumpster and gives a terrible first impression. We understand that we live in a world of short staffed restaurants. Thank you for providing delicious food!
