The Paper Lantern is a nice addition to the neighborhood and worth the trip for the surrounding areas. We’ve had several entrees amd starters from them, eating in once, and the food is always fresh, prepared to order, and plentiful. Indoor dining is roomy and comfortable, not a romantic dinner type place. Nonetheless it is a great little spot for some good Chinese.

I stopped in at this restaurant for dinner! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into and the place was busy. I was greeted and sat and served by Victor and he was great! I ordered:

Wow! Can’t say enough. This place was absolutely amazing. The food, the service, the location, the price, everything was just really great.
We had my fiancé’s shower here and the staff was so friendly and so helpful. They truly made it so much better. So many awesome smiling young team members ready to help. Made us feel truly like family.
Our guests were wow’d by the food. The place is beautiful and we were so thrilled as soon as we entered, but the food was absolutely great. We had beef, shrimp, chicken, noodles, rice, tea, and we couldn’t get enough. Amazingly cooked, super tasty. Excellent place.
There’s plenty of parking and it’s walking distance from the decks. Right next to so many other places to go before and after.
The whole place was so clean and spacious, and the tables and chairs were clean and comfortable.
Will definitely be back here no question! So thankful for this team. Can’t wait to return.

We had an amazing dinner at Paper Lantern with a group of eight, ordering family style so we could try as much as possible—and it did not disappoint! Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable for a group, and the staff made the whole experience seamless. Our server kept everything moving without ever making us feel rushed, and the timing of the dishes was spot on.
It’s the kind of place where you want to come hungry and ready to try a little bit of everything. Perfect for groups, celebrations, or just a fun night out. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this place, I have found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Montclair.
We ordered thru delivery app and everything came nice and hot.
The chicken had a nice tang to its sweetness, mayo tofu had nice peppercorn flavor, while pea shoots were mild but flavorful. The restaurant did a great job bringing out the flavor for each of the dish without over seasoning.
I’ll definitely have to go try it at the restaurant.

Decided to try this new place by me for lunch. It was Sooooooo Goooooood! I asked for no extra salt or msg used. Thank you guys for following instructions. Finally I found a spot I can eat from without getting migraines from the sodium.

We came for dinner and enjoyed everything! The staff were amazing very friendly and welcoming! The manager made sure to also ask the guests how everything was and repeatedly checked in. The food itself was delicious and the portions were perfect. Definitely worth a visit!
