The food was good, but not everything stood out. The sides that came with the entrée were not really up to the mark and felt a bit average. But the fries were actually really good, crispy and tasty, probably the best part of the meal.
I tried the crispy chicken sandwich and honestly felt like the chicken was not as tender as I expected. It was fine, but could have been softer and juicier. The veggie sandwich, on the other hand, tasted really good and had nice flavor.
One thing I want to mention is about the ambience and view. In the pictures, it looks like there is a clear ocean view, but when we visited, the sand dune was blocking most of the view. So it was not exactly what we expected. The ambience overall was okayish.
The place is a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but the hospitality was pretty good. The staff were polite and welcoming, which made the experience better.
Overall, it was a decent experience. Good food in some parts, average in some, but still a nice place to try once.
*You can’t see the beach from the patio because of the dunes/grass, but it’s still a cute little spot with a walkway straight to the beach!
But, the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The country fried steak was crispy and the sausage gravy was full of sausage. We had the scrambled and the over easy eggs. Cooked to perfection! The home fries are fresh cut potatoes with a mix of sweet peppers and onions. Man was this delicious! I was not able to finish my meal.
The bar tender was also our waiter, so be patient! He did a great job with our order and keeping the drinks full.
Also a fun treat was the locals sitting at the bar with fish stories! Especially since they knew someone that was dragged 7 miles from shore with a fish. Or the friend that used 5-gallon buckets as anchors when a fish tried to drag him to sea.
Try the place, you won’t be disappointed!
Our meals were on point with flavor. I feel the portion was a bit small for the cost but overall we were happy with our decision to dine here and would definitely visit again.
