I don’t hand out 5-star reviews unless a place really earns it — and Margie’s Bar & Grill absolutely did.
I ordered the In-Between Burger and it was straight up delicious. Cooked perfect, full of flavor, and you can tell they don’t cut corners. My wife got the cheese burger with large tater tots and wow… everything was on point. The burger was juicy, the cheese melted just right, and those tots were crispy and seasoned perfectly.
The vibe in there is great too — good energy, good people, and just an overall solid spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
No fluff, no hype — just good food done right. We’ll definitely be back.

Don’t let the low key atmosphere deter you…you will not get an ordinary burger at Margie’s! I was referred to Margie’s by two Bryan locals (always the best way to get a restaurant recommendation!) and found it on a unassuming corner near my vacation rental. I received a friendly greeting from Justin, who navigated me to Margie’s special burgers on the menu. I was astounded by high end burger that was delivered to to my table. It was perfectly cooked and presented. And most importantly, it was delicious. If I lived in Bryan I would be a regular at Margie’s for sure. Thank you Justin for the great service, great food and great conversation.

After hearing positive things about Margie’s, my wife and I stopped by to try it out this past weekend. What a great find! Though somewhat limited in dining space, the atmosphere was fun and lively with a local karaoke night. While some of the participants should probably stick with their day jobs, the vibe and wonderful smells of good Texas grilled burgers tantalized the senses before our food even arrived.
The food! I had the Sexy Pimp Burger with bacon and jalapenos and man was it delicious! The flattop grill they use there I found out has been in use since the 1920s and it certainly served up some delicious beef for the burger. I’m sure the gentleman manning the grill had something to do with the excellence as well. They were busy so service was slightly slow, but the food made it worth the wait!
I recommend the food and atmosphere at Margie’s and look forward to stopping in again with my family and friends!

This is one of those local spots you go for the vibes and to have a beer.
You won’t complain about the burger, it will hit the spot and satisfy but it’s not going to stand out from the next place. Fries, standard crinkle cuts most likely not fresh cut.

First time at Margie’s today. Got the double meat and double cheese burgers with fries and onion rings. First impression was good, friendly service and clean, albeit very smoky. Water was topped up promptly, and the owners (I think!) were attentive while not being overbearing – we did not feel pestered at all, which is great!
We asked for the burgers rare, something new for them, and they were about as rare as possible for a small patty – great job. I found the exterior of the burger lacked texture, it was all a bit mushy, this may be because it’s so hard to get the center a medium/medium rare on small burgers. Adding an onion ring to the patty partly corrected the texture, but would work better if it they weren’t breaded. Bun was great – didn’t break apart, grilled and buttery. Mustard good, onions great, found the pickles too thick and it made a strange pickle to meat ratio in most bites. I think the burgers could be a little more seasoned, but the cheese was really good. There is no point getting anything less than the double, this is a 2oz per patty burger.
We were disappointed with the sides. The onion rings are now breaded, not as good as the battered ones shown in most pictures and came a bit burnt – the interior had gone mushy too, and the fries were pretty bland and a bit burnt. We left most of them, which is sad as the fries alone are almost $4 which seems excessive for pretty bad frozen fries.
Overall, if the sides are changed and improved, we would return and try the more modern burgers to see how those are too.

Margie’s Bar & Grill has simple homemade hometown burgers. The atmosphere is cozy and simple kinda have historical feel. Service was great Angela was polite friendly and respectful hosts. The food was amazing and delicious it has that home style taste. Price wasn’t expensive just nice and simple dining

Seated towards the end of downtown Bryan, one may miss it but upon looking closey, one will be greeted with the word Margie’s on the front of the building. I enjoyed that the building captivated the same look as the rest of downtown Bryan and it resonated once you entered. The bar is on the left side with an array of drinks that you can choose from glass soft drinks to canned drinks. There is ample seating but may be difficult with bigger groups. The signage of Karaoke was present at the front and the jukebox in the back was an indication of some good times ahead.
Service:
Service was attentive the moment we stepped foot in the door. We were immediately greeted and asked where we wanted to be seated. After being seated, we were then given the menu, in which she gave us time to look over the menu. Upon ordering the food, the food came out in a short time.
Quality:
Let’s just say one of the better burgers in not only Bryan, but College station as well. I would put them in the top 3 best burgers in the area. Today I had the In-between and it didn’t disappoint. It has so much flavor and the egg made to my liking sealed the deal. What could possibly be better, how about…..the best comeback of all-time, fries and tater tots are now back!!!
If you have never tried these burgers, do yourself a favor and treat yo-self to any of their plethora of burgers…and don’t forget the tots or fries.

OMG OMG OMG!!! This daaamm place is definitely the best burgers in town hands down amazing place great service and you can forget about the Chilli omg was simple delicious you have to go a try this place good prices definitely a comeback I actually when back on my stay was super good no disappointment at all!!
