Awesome food and Awesome prices!! I had the all you can eat Walleye fir $11.50 and my husband had the fried shrimp senior meal. We both had the chicken dumpling soup. Both plates were outstanding as was the soup. Total less than $23. Service was excellent. Will be back when we are in town!

Went in and sat at a booth. No greeting when walking in. There was mushy food on the floor underneath the booth that got all over my sandal. The cheese sticks were good. The chicken was good but kind of greasy and the mashed potatoes and gravy were dry and the gravy was more of a tasteless yellow cheese sauce type something.

I was on my way to the airport and happened to notice this little place right off the highway, so I figured I’d stop in and give it a try. I’m glad I did. What a pleasant surprise.
The diner was clean, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. As soon as someone finished eating, they were right there wiping down the tables. You don’t see work ethic like that everywhere anymore, and it really stood out to me.
I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was good, solid home-style food. I’d give it a strong four out of five, which is saying something. Portions were fair, the price was reasonable, and everything tasted fresh.
The location is very convenient, just off Highway 24, which made it an easy stop without any hassle. If I ever find myself passing through this area again, I won’t hesitate to stop here. It’s well worth it.
Good food, good people, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do.

Great food, great service and just a nice cozy place to stop and have a meal!!! Peggy was awesome!
Also, I don’t know if they change the station, but they had Q98.1 on today and it’s always been one of my favorite stations, good mix for everyone!

Tonight was chicken night, it wasn’t super busy when I got there. I’ve never had their fried chicken, but I watched as other people were getting their fried chicken and it did look good. I was getting my food to go. I live about 15 minutes from the restaurant. I got my food with the tip I paid $20 for my meal chicken and french fries when I got home and opened my To go box, you could smell the stale burnt grease on that chicken not only did it smell burnt. The chicken had no flavor except for burnt Grease I called the restaurant and all she said is I will let them know. No attempt to remedy the situation. I then proceeded to call back again to speak to management when the staff informed him he had a phone call all I could hear in the background was him saying he was too busy to take the call and I would need to call back later. It’s pretty disappointing when you haven’t eaten much during the day and you’re looking forward to going home to a hot meal just find out you can’t even eat it Y’all just lost yourself a customer

Service is good but understaffed. The hamburger was good. Fries are frozen amd coated type that are extra greasy. The “catfish” filets didn’t seem like catfish at all. I believe they were walleye. The filets were so greasy, they weren’t really edible. The salad was good. The menu says meals are served with rolls but are not. The chicken dumpling soup was good. Prices are fair if the food would have been good. The restaurant looked clean and there is plenty of parking.

The perks of being a senior is the just for us menu. This diner has an Americana themed decor, which is so fitting with it being in the heart of farmland. I had the breaded catfish filet, which was battered with the lightest touch and fried to tender perfection. It was a huge piece that took up the entire plate. The senior plate came with a salad, green beans, baked potato, and dessert. At $7.69, it was a great value. You can also order breakfast anytime, and my mother ordered medium eggs that came with pancakes and bacon. The eggs looked like something you would see in an ad, beautiful. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the bacon was crisp. The total for two meals was $16.81, a bargain by any standard.

Country Side Family Diner is a jewel in a small town. With ample seating, friendly servers, a menu with lots of options at decent prices – what is there not to like. I had a steak skillet, with two eggs, lots of steak and hashbrowns; mr partner enjoyed an 8 oz ribeye, two eggs and toast. Lexi, our server, brought our breakfast in a jiffy, and took care of coffee and water, asking about out food without being over-bearing. The bill was just over $20.
