This past 4th of July, a friend said, “Let’s goto lunch.
After driving a bit, we decided on Dickey’s BBQ.
I have seen this place on my travels, but I never had the occasion to drop by.
Well, on the 4th, we did.
We decided on the Brisket plate and a drink.
I must say the bark was fine and the meat was tasty.
I had the baked beans and slaw.
My friend had the green beans and
some fries.
At the end of the meal, the plates were
empty, and we were happy.

We went here because a place down the road ran out of food. We got there about 4:30 and there was no one there. That could be a good or a bad thing. They have specials every day. Yesterday friday, we got the pulled pork plate which came with two sides and a drink and one meat. I got the pulled pork ,the potato casserole,baked beans, a piece of bread and a to go cup. The flavor of the pulled pork was really good. You honestly didn’t need sauce. The macaroni and cheese was okay did not seem homemade, the potato casserole was pretty good nothing fabulous however the baked beans were not very good. They were very hard beans. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. But it was decent.

We visited the Dickey’s in Flowery Branch GA on Sunday May 19th and had a good experience prior to me discovering pieces of plastic in my macaroni and cheese. My wife called the location back and requested the manager and upon him coming to the phone she relayed that we just left them about 30mins ago and explained that I found plastic in my food. She offered to send him a pic of the plastic and the gentleman did not request the picture or ask us to return the food to the restaurant. He apologized and said that was not good but offered no solution pass that. The meat we ordered was great but finding plastic in my food was just not good for me.

The food came fast, the fries were made fresh. If you read many of my reviews you will know I visit a lot of barbeque places, and I onlu review the best. This place is awesome in every aspect.

The food was delicious. The restaurant was out of the big yellow cups, offered us the kids cup (or two of them), but still paid as if we had the big cup. No working ice cream machine. We don’t go often, because even though the food is great, some of the little things really add up.

The BBQ plate wasn’t worth the price, and my aunt felt the same about her brisket deal, neither of us enjoyed our meals. To top it off, the girl at the front wasn’t exactly welcoming. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.

Food is good, pretty consistent. We’ve eaten here and ordered to go many times and my only negative comment is that they’re almost always out of something we like to order, it’s usually turkey.

Recently another bbq place closed up thus i have started eating at dickies. Ive been 6 or 7 times in the last couple months and always have been treated warmly and the food is just fine for my tastes. The real reason for the review is the last couple times i either had to wait quite a long time for food-during a sunday after church rush, and then a case of not having change for the cash i paid with. Neither of those issues would prevent me from returning and to my surprise, both times, the staff apologized and made things right and then some. Keep up the good work and treating customers like people because it really is noticed!!
