La Neveria Michoacana has quickly become my family’s favorite and go to spot for paletas, and the drive is worth it! Every time we visit, we bring a cooler and ice so we can stock up on all the flavors and bring back a few cups of their elote and mangonadas. Everything is made fresh, I have seen on their staff park outside with huge baskets of produce and dairy, and immediately start using some to make orders. Sometimes they have a line out the door and can take some time but, I don’t mind with their friendly customer service and making orders fresh, consistency in quality, and communication on wait times and item availability. My favorite paleta flavors currently are the mango with tajin, plain mango, and pineapple.

I love this place but every time I order with a woman their she always gives me small amount of everything while other give the right amount so disappointing I order chips and got like 3 pieces or mango and a small amount of cucumber with a small amount of hot sauce. I asked for mint chocolate chip ice cream, and it was cookie monster blue. Smelled it and it smelled like mouthwash, and eating it was no better. It tastes like bubblegum mixed with mouthwash, with an aftertaste of normal mint. Mint is my favorite ice cream flavor, so this is not coming from a place of disliking mint. I am so disappointed, as it was 6 dollars for 2 scoops!!

Nice Mexican ice cream parlor. They have several Mexican snacks to choose from. This place is typically super packed. I came mid day so it was empty. If you’re in the area it’s definitely a place to visit. Nice and clean overall.

I played it safe and ordered two scoops of ice cream. I ordered the triple chocolate for the base and mint ice cream for the top. The mint ice cream was delicious and didn’t feel too heavy. There were also chocolate bits in it too that brought an extra crunch. The triple chocolate ice cream was very flavorful and had chocolate bits. Both flavors blended well and complimented each other. I would go here again and try their other options.
This place was bustling, but the line moved quickly. I recommend this place and will be back.

I’ll start off by saying the ice cream here is great! A variety of flavors that were all delicious and cheap prices were amazing perks of this place. However, I’m struggling between 3 or 4 stars for this place because when my wife was eating her ice cream, about midway through, she came upon a plastic piece or what looked like it could have been someone’s fake nail or something. Anytime there is a hair in food or an item that doesn’t belong (like this fake nail) really does tarnish the image of the place in your mind. Which is really unfortunate because the ice cream was so good. I thought the staff were friendly and courteous (5 stars) the ice cream I got was tres leches (5 stars) the restaurant was clean but smelled heavily of cleaning product (3 stars) and the plastic piece in the ice cream was truly unfortunate (bad experience = 1 star). This rounds out to about a 3.5 star experience for this outing. If the plastic piece hadn’t been in the ice cream then this would have been a 4-5 star experience.

This lady always attends us horribly, she kicked us out seeing that we had kids eating, we arrived at 8:30 and they were so slow because they didn’t want to attend anyone anymore, and we asked her for five minutes so the kids could finish eating and she just started whining, they should just say that if u arrive at 8:30 or after, you have to leave because they won’t let you eat there anymore and there gonna kick you out. And they had already closed and they let in other people just because they knew them and they were kicking us out.

I have been to this place a lot of time ever since they opened. They have a variety of things in the menu besides ice cream. I would’ve given them 5 stars, but the employees are usually in a bad mood and I hate that sometimes they run out of ice cream for the Mangoneadas; which are one of my favorite things.

Mangoes Chiles sherbert was amazing! Never had it before. Spicy, sweet & savory with bits of real mangoes in it. My girls got coffee ice cream & guava sherbert and they loved it too. I’m just sad they are a 3hr drive from home. We found it coming home from DC. Will definitely be a stop on way down & back next time!
