Had a wonderful dining experience at Niji Sushi Bristol. Ordered tuna sashimi and ox tongue skewer to start. Both were amazing with quality hard to come by and reminded me of dining experiences when travelling to Japan. For main I got the sea bass set which was once again very impressive. The place is well-decorated and clean, while all staff are friendly, polite and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Would definitely recommend to everyone who would like authentic Japanese food in Bristol!

Niji had a good selection of sushi, and hot food and I would highly recommend the purple yam katsu dessert – something different from the usual dessert options. The chutoro was good quality and I wanted to try the otoro but unfortunately they had sold out so be mindful if you want to try it to not go too late in the evening. Sashimi slices were thick-cut too. The sweet potato tempura uses purple sweet potato instead of the typically-seen orange flesh ones which gave it a unique and more earthy flavour – would recommend ordering this too! Definitely one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Bristol and I will be coming back and recommending to all my friends.

The restaurant itself is very spacious, and atmosphere is good and not too loud. It’s a great place for meeting with friends and bigger groups although I would note to leave more time to find parking as it is in the central Bristol area.

Highly recommend this restaurant, visited today and had a great experience. Not only is it a very pretty place with well thought through design and decoration, but it’s very clean too. The food and drinks were amazing, decently priced with lots of variety and not a long waiting time. Staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 thanks guys can’t wait to visit again

Niji Sushi in Bristol is a lovely Japanese restaurant that offers all different types of Japanese food from sushi to BBQ and Ramen! Basically a jack of all trades.

For dinner I had the Eel Box, BBQ Mushroom, one Hokkaido Scallop Sushi, two tuna sushi, genmai tea and the tempura yam desserts. All that set me back about 80 USD which is one of two reasons I knock this place down to a 4/5. Overall the sushi was the best part of the dinner, the pieces of fish were huge and the flavor was amazing, wish I only got the sushi and stuffed myself with that!

Everything else was really good too, but the Eel had a huge piece of rubbery fat on the bottom I couldn’t even bite through which for 22 pounds I would have expected not to be the case. Regardless, I still loved Niji and plan on going back next time I’m in Bristol! You should 100% check it out too!
