So, yesterday I tried the $1.29 sliders with cheese. I ordered 20, and they were well worth the money. If I had to choose between them or Five guys, I would choose them. I can’t compare them to White Castle, because honestly these burgers are slightly bigger. YO!!! Cook (Detroit), keep up the good work. That’s what’s up.

Have come in a few time over the past couple weeks sliders onion rings and Rubens are amazing and the sliders are large bigger then a mcdonald’s burgers and taste way better. Food is made fresh. This my new lil spot. Highly recommended if your in the area. Good prices good food.

I hate the original owners sold it. It’s not the same at all.

They don’t answer phone calls they watch the phone ring and will not answer. It’s not like they are busy

The food is horrible

The cook is touching the food with his bare hands right now as I type, no gloves on at all.

I watch him flip the hotdogs with his hands just touching and grabbing them with no gloves

I swear each bite got nastier! I ordered a cornbeef skillet. The menu said the skillet included red potatoes. Why lie? There was nothing red about those dry favorless potatoes. The salt & pepper on the table could not help this unseasoned bowl. Listen…the toast was nasty & it wasn’t burnt, just hard, old, & gross. I have never noticed this place before & wished I wasn’t introduced to it today.

The waiter asked me to be generous while signing the receipt cause I used my card.
I ordered 2 coney dogs with everything and this is what it looked like.
The new U of D is not AT ALL what it used to be since the new owners have taken over. All of the regulars agree to this. It’s so disheartening because U of D has always been a staple in Detroit. Every time I go there it’s a bad experience. Today the cashier was so confused. Couldn’t keep up with what her job was, what she was supposed to be doing and I waited too long for 2 coneys. The other waitress actually asked, “what is he waiting for” and the woman said I totally forgot about me. Then asked what did I order. If this was her first day working I could understand but the icing on the cake is she had time to hold side conversations about how drunk they got over the weekend. Using the B word and everything. But had the nerve to tell me to be generous in my tip. I would’ve left a tip hadn’t she asked for one. Let your service determine your tip ma’am. I’ve tired understanding it’s a new business but come on, you gotta do better. Hire better staff. Actually put mustered on the coneys. I won’t be returning here again. I’m afraid to bring my friends or buy breakfast for my family on the weekend like I used to.

The first time I tried this place and never again. The salmon croquettes were soo small I bought an extra and all three could make up one croquette. Plus, the croquettes were burnt. They did not put my grits in the bag. Furthermore, to make matters worse the toast for each breakfast combo ‍♀️. One was toasted hard and cold with the butter unmelted and the other not toasted with a saggy middle. Never again.

My boss suggested this establishment, he’s been coming here for over 40 years. My first time here. I ordered the spinach and feta omelet with hash browns no toast. Boss got grits, eggs with cheese, toast and bacon.

It was 3 of us. $33 out the door. Fast and friendly service. I like that you can see the kitchen.

The catfish is low-key FIYAH light garlic accents make it stand out (kinda like a HAPPY medium) between the savory flavors of Bosco’s [Livernois] & Fish Time [HIGHLAND PARK].

Pictured is what I ordered.

What I received was 100% store bought frozen chicken heated up. This alone is just false advertising. And they forgot the fries.
