Very tasty terrine, escargots, tartare, good atmosphere, all from the dedicated small team. The spend was high due to the choice of fantastic Premier cru
Fantastic, fresh food, excellent wines, stellar service, all at reasonable prices. Gilles recently completely renovated the restaurant and changed the concept. Now a warm, convivial space with classic Burgundian dishes updated for discerning palates. You can share dishes or order individually, everything we tried was fantastic! Special bonus: one of the only outstanding restaurants in the area that is open *Sunday* and *Monday* nights and offering service after 9pm. The only flaw is that it’s not closer to my home!!
I have too many good things to say about this place. We came because the restaurant was highly recommended and the owner’s character shines through even his Google review replies but the high quality of food and wine pairings won us over completely.
We ordered the charcuterie board, quenelle (did I mention the sauce?), oeufs meurette (if I had a French grandmother, this is how I wish she would cook) and finally a coupe of homemade strawberry ice cream (with delicious berries and cream), a Breton biscuit and a chocolate ganache.
I’m not a wine expert but we really enjoyed the coup de cremant, red and white wine and Marc de Bourgogne brandy.
Finally, I think wanted to say that our waitress had the perfect touch. She made us feel welcome, recommended great wine and was a pleasure to talk to, en anglais to boot, since our French is embarrassing.
We would recommend this to our friends in a heartbeat.
