We decided to stop by Eastern Winds for the first time tonight, and we loved it!
We went on a Saturday night around 8pm, walked right in and were seated immediately!
The seated dining room had beautiful red vinyl cushioned booths that were so shiny and clean, they looked brand new! The low lighting at night was cozy and gave the dining room the appearance of a warm, nostalgic movie scene.
We started with the Daily Egg Drop Soup and some egg rolls. The soup was rich and salty and the egg rolls were piping hot, exactly what we wanted as appetizers!
For our entrees we ordered the Mongolian Beef and Strawberry Chicken! The beef was a classic taste with a bit of spice, not too much and not too little – absolutely delicious and savory! The Strawberry Chicken was an amazing surprise – sweet, sour, fruity and crispy – so unique and had well balanced flavors!
The service was great, our waitress was very kind! We can’t wait to go again!

UNDISCOVERED GEM!
This place is by far the best place for an authentic Mandarin & Cantonese experience! I’ve been coming here sporadically for years and it’s blown me away every time.
The lunch specials are freaking stellar and if you stop by for dinner you won’t be disappointed!
They were closed for a little bit but when they reopened the entire store had a facelift and the outside of the building got a new lick of paint.
Inexpensive and made FRESH to order!

I’ve been to hundreds of Chinese food restaurants across the US and I’ve never had gross Chinese food until now. I paid $13.99 for this meal plus tax and the proportions are good, but that doesn’t matter when the food is inedible. The fried rice was only okay which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1, but the orange chicken and soup smelled revolting and the taste was bad enough that I could only eat a few pieces. I ended up throwing away 99% of the meal. I then went to a place I knew had decent food. I paid 7.75 plus tax for the other meal. I’m not sure if it was just this one time considering other reviews are good, but it’s not something I want to risk wasting money on again.

I really wish I would have taken some pictures… I definitely will when I go back! I honestly thought this place was closed because usually I don’t see any cars in the parking lot, and after the dinner I had I’m surprised that this place is not busier! The general tso’s chicken was delicious!!! My son tried their strawberry chicken, it had real strawberries, in what I think was imitation strawberry sauce, it was different but still very good! We will definitely be returning!!!

One is too much. I had been going to EW for well over 20yrs. I the hell happened to them after Covid. I figured the $ would higher. But boy did the quality go down. I really hope they read their reviews. Kung o app Shrimp was so horrible. The vegetables were practically mush, I wondered if it was from the night prior. The meal should come with peanuts in it, I swear there was like 20 peanuts the size of a pea. The sauce has drastically changed, thick with not much flavor. Oh I’m forgetting the rice! Rice comes with Kung Po Shrimp, it tasted 2 days old. Not even warm. Was wadded up in the container. Yes I ordered out. Just so not happy with them. They used to be so excellent in their food preparation l, not so much anymore.

My son requested to go here for his birthday dinner. The food and service are excellent. We’ve been here a couple of times. Large portions for the money and great service. The building might cause some pause. Don’t let it. Totally worth the 20 mile drive from home

Wow! I have ordered delivery several times from here and wanted to try it in person. I love this place! The food was so fresh and hot . Big portions too! A D24 combo dinner of happy family, fried rice, egg roll, fried shrimp, and egg drop soup was less than $15 for one person. Also ordered steamed dumplings and the server was nice enough to get us an assortment of sauces from mild to spicy hot hot! Update October 2025: Tried the three ingredient #152. So good. Beef, chicken, & shrimp with water chestnuts, pea pods, and mushrooms in a brown ginger sauce. Highly recommend this!
