Excellent fish – very nice & varied selections- check out the board on my picture for current selection. Updated in chalk each day.

This place only opens for dinner & was full before we left around 6:30 pm.

Wonderful food, friendly servers & nice atmosphere. Seating indoor & outdoor. Our table was a bit crowded, however, the staff did move two tables together to accommodate our party of 4.

One of two seafood restaurants on my list for the Triad area.

I don’t know why this place receives such great reviews. The BBQ orange Mahi had no taste.
The shrimp was awesome.
The homemade lemonade was awesome.
I feel like if they serve Mahi, it should be something like a sweet passion fruit Mahi.
Nobody in the U.S. seems to know how to have any good Mahi recipes.
Their menu selection has a lot to be desired.
I feel like this recipe place should be able to do better

They close at 9PM. I arrived 8:21PM. 4 mins ago.
I stopped by for the 1st time to try it out.
Doors were locked. They said sorry. Business was slow so they closed early.
Who does that in 2026? Not likley to be on my list to try again. Gee folks.

12-17-25 Yay! The Blackened Catfish with Red Beans and Rice is back. It’s on the official menu board so not just a special. It was fantastic and we split hush puppies to “swab” up the bean juice. Izzy was great and had no problem with us jabbering and eating all night. We paid our check so she could leave. Tia took over and kept checking on us and we ended up splitting a Crème Brûlée. Everything was delicious, as usual. We did our Christmas exchange so I was happy to get a 4 top table. We were there almost from open to close so we tipped accordingly and they were very gracious. We appreciated that. @ridgeshrimpandoyster @yelpnctriad
5-20-24 I wanted to show you the Monday night special of Fried Flounder. It was fantastic! Crunchy but not heavily breaded. The tender flounder was so fresh and clean tasting. It comes with one side, so I got their killer hush puppies and added fries for a full meal. The fries are breaded and wonderful. Half price wine on Mondays by the glass or even a bottle, as long as your bottle choice is sold by the glass too. The service was great, as always. @ridgeshrimpandoyster NOTE: If you monopolize a table for 2.5 hours, like we did, please be generous with your tip.

The experience here started off great, but began to nosedive faster than a collapsing building.

We were greeted with smiles and offered a table for 2, but we lacked menus. We were seated outside, and that would prove to be our demise.

After quickly scrolling on my phone, we placed both soft drinks and our entrée orders.

The sweet tea tasted like regular tea, and my Dr. Pepper was flat. My wife got the catfish, and I ordered the snow crab legs. My wife’s dish looked great but contained an interesting flavor. Her grits were a bit too cheesy and salty. For the catfish, she could only taste the breading. The only upside is the bread as her second side.

As for my crab legs, unseasoned. Only water and crab meat. Mind you, I had a morsel of crab meat on every other leg. I’ve eaten better crab at Asian spots for less. At least my dish came with butter ‍♂️ some of this could have been overlooked, but our waitress was MIA.

There were multiple people seated outside who were given amazing service. However, my wife and I didn’t even get a single refill. It’s like as soon as we got our food and requested our bill right after, we became invisible. Tbh, it didn’t help that we’re a minority interracial couple because we stood out like a sore thumb, yet we experienced subpar service.

For $74, we came away utterly disappointed. There won’t be a next time.

My grilled tuna was good, even though I asked for a medium center and it came out raw. The side order of bread was really good. fyi – the potatoes are just steamed, no seasoning. My husbands grouper (one of the specials for $35) was not good. It had a strong fishy smell & taste and was not seasoned. Yes, it’s fish but it shouldn’t smell or taste like that. Our friends ordered shrimp & grits (really good), steamed shrimp (overcooked) and fried oysters (really good). Hushpuppies were good. Our waitress was nice but kept forgetting things. Overall, most of our food was really good but the grouper was terrible and overpriced. We probably won’t return but I wish them well.

The environment was nice. It was very inviting and the staff very courteous and gave very good service. However, I highly recommend getting the shellfish or salmon because the flounder was served by itself and ended up being not seasoned and a little lacking in flavor. The prices were also $10 more than everything that was listed on the Facebook ad that was supposed to show their menu, so the price is on everything we’re a bit excessive for some pretty basic seafood options. The wait time was also a bit ridiculous for how long it took, but the hush puppies were some of the best I’ve ever had.

First time eating there. I had potato crusted grouper and my husband had shrimp. The food was very good, including the fries and collard greens; the coleslaw was just okay. The tables are tiny – and I mean small – and the interior is small and crowded. This is obviously a popular local haunt, as there was a wait line at 5 (when they open) and a wait line when we left, after 6. Handheld menus are not available, and there is no website. Choose your food, wine and beer from the wall-sized chalkboard menu. Quite a few people who were waiting came in and snapped a photo of the board to peruse their choices while they waited outside. NO excuse for this. You can build a simple WordPress site for FREE and host it for 3 bucks a month, then you make a Qcode (again free) to scan for a menu. My biggest objection, and the reason I won’t return (they have plenty of customers and will not miss us) is the TV set to a channel of a specific political persuasion. Sorry. Keep your politics to yourself: I do NOT care which ‘side’ you’re on; I do not want to have it staring in my face while I dine. We’ll go elsewhere where the food is just as good and we don’t have to put up with being squished into a small room and forced to watch political garbage (either ‘side’), But if you don’t mind it, the food is good!

I hate living in the Triad but having this place near my home is the only thing keeping me sane. This place seems like one of the last family owned restaurants in the area that has a great local atmosphere and very good food and a good beer/wine menu.
