This unassuming Irish bar completely surprised us with how amazing and flavor-packed the food was. We ordered drinks and several dishes, and everything impressed us.
The Veggie Pot Stickers absolutely won our hearts—simple, crisp and subtle on flavors yet delish. It came with a sauce that made the dish come alive. My Veggie Burger was a good portion, super tasty, with a freshly-made soft patty and house-cut fries that felt truly homemade. They were so light! We also ordered the Cavatelli and Broccoli Pasta which was insanely delicious. It was brothy, garlicky with a light gravy and just the right amount of cream and cheese, not heavy at all. Balanced very well. It felt hearty, comforting and home style. We also got the Market Veggies which had sautéed veggies with a flavorful broth, something that I’ve never had anywhere before. Delectable absolutely! Five stars for the food! Can’t praise it enough!
Most importantly, Joe was a fantastic host! He was quite warm, personable and attentive, checking in often and chatting with us. I loved everything about our visit and can’t wait to return! Super recommend the place for their food!!

I wanted to throw an anniversary party for something that means a lot to me. I didnt want to host a “private event” but preferred an open bar setting where my guests could roam around and not feel restricted. I heard great things about The Shep and sent a request on their website to host an open bar and within 5 minutes I received a phone call regarding my inquiry. This was the easiest party or event I have ever planned and I barely did the planning. Everything was easy and perfect and every single one of my guests had an amazing time and really enjoyed the food! I told my friend how easy the planning was and within the next week, she planned a birthday party there for next month! LOVED IT! 10/10 recommend!

We had a 30th birthday here and from start to finish everything could not have been better. Joe was extremely helpful in the planning process and really worked with me to set the party up the best way. Cesar and all the staff were so helpful and nice and went above and beyond to make everything so smooth. Food and drinks of course were great as well! Highly recommend for any event or just dinner/drinks!

I had called ahead and made a reservation for a small party, but unfortunately, the experience on the day of our visit was quite disappointing. There was only one waiter and one bartender available, which made the service extremely slow. Used plates were left uncleared for a long time, and no one came by to take our drink orders. We eventually had to track down the bartender ourselves just to place an order. Overall, very let down by the level of service.Food was good though.

We had our son’s 1st birthday at the Shep and it was the perfect day! Joe, the owner, is incredibly communicative and accommodating. He made the entire process of booking, picking food, etc so easy for us. Gary and the staff were incredible throughout the entire party. It was amazing to have the entire bar for our group of 70 and the front area makes a great space to set up for kids. All around would highly recommend for throwing a party!! Huge thank you to Joe and his team for making our son’s birthday such a success!!

We hosted a Celebration Dinner for our Senior Players at the Shepherd and the Knucklehead. Looking for a large group to have a dinner at on a Saturday evening is tough especially when you don’t know the area.
The owner was amazing from the beginning. Joe was quick to respond when I had questions and very helpful in picking the amount of food I needed to order.
Everyone loved the delicious food and some of our group got there early and pre-partied, apparently the sweet potato fries are wonderful. The staff was friendly and professional!
The loud atmosphere(it’s a bar after all) made presentation part of evening tough to hear, yet the staff was kind and turned the music off during the presentation which helped a bit.
If you are looking for a place to host an event with great food and service The Shepherd & the Knucklehead is a wonderful option.

Wings were amazing, lemon pepper wings were super cruchy and we had a pineapple chile wings the sauce was the boss those too were nice and crunchy. The fried pickles were good. And so were the poppers. We also had the cheese steak and the sweet potatoe fries. Both were all gone haha. I would recommend. Great place, great atmosphere. Great sauces too. They need more business! Great service.

We hosted our son’s 1st birthday at the Shep and it was fantastic! We had over 100 people and the place was perfect! Everyone was super comfortable and there was a perfect place to set up a soft play area for the little kids! The food was great, as always, and the staff did a wonderful job. I did not have to think about anything during the party which goes to show that they were on top of what needed to be done. The food options were perfect for a large group and the no one ever had to wait for a drink. The owner is super easy to work with, very responsive, and just really helpful. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

The food is good. However, every customer should be aware that the price in the menu is only if you pay in cash. We did not know this and asked the server that we think the calculation is wrong. The response was unprofessional and defensive, they just gave us the owner’s name card to contact. The price difference was small, so it was not a big deal, however the unprofessional response to the customers question/inquiry made the experience much worse than what it could be.
