Took my wife there for the first and last time (this was a few years back in 2021). Terrible experience. I walked in to get a table and my wife was outside on a phone call. The hostess saw me and greeted me and was super enthusiastic… then my wife walked in.. and her demeanor changed completely. We’re Muslim and my wife wears the hijab, I silly want to make assumptions but I could only explain her attitude towards my wife as racism because she was super rude to her. When it was just me, she was all smiles and rainbows getting the best table ready for us. The minute she saw my hijabi wife she said all her tables inside aren’t available and the only table available was the one outside in the sunniest area (it was during a HOT summer afternoon). We left and went to elephant bar next door. After that day I vowed to never go back there again.

My husband and I went there for dinner for the first time. The food was bland and mediocre at best. The service was poor. We had to request bread, and our side dish was served about 10 minutes after the steaks. The waiter finally brought us bread after asking another server. However, our waiter had taken our butter knives during our appetizer. The coat check was at the table rather than the front door. The ribeye was flavorless and seemed to be cooked at too low of a temperature to bring out the flavor from the marbling. We were disappointed and will not be returning.

This restaurant used to be in the top 3 in the city in my opinion. The steaks were top-notch the wine selection was great the bartenders we’re fun and could create anything. Butt, as with anything all good things must come to an end. The service is mediocre at best the wait staff is not well-trained especially for a high class dining experience. My last dinner experience there was pathetic I didn’t hold them to any standard I just let them do their deal they charged me for an appetizer they never brought and the steak was not how I ordered it. Swore I wouldn’t go back but decided I’d try them for lunch. The only decent thing they had for lunch there was a buffalo burger which I found they removed from the menu the waiter was terrible and tried to talk us out of our appetizers that we wanted, and the burger I ordered was mediocre. The Ambiance is always good and always has been but if you’re looking to impress someone that’s not the place. Go to Ruth’s Chris, Ranchers Club, or Vernons.

It was my birthday dinner. The food was divine every bite of it. The one problem I had was it was hard to understand the waitstaff her accent was thick. Otherwise very attentive but not annoyingly so. The menu is pricy and they didn’t have exotic menu items like they have in the past. It was a great dinner and I was immensely overjoyed with the outcome. The waitstaff even took a picture of all of us. I would recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special time or a place to take a client.

Very disappointed with lunch today. My wife and I frequent Marcrllos and after today’s lunch experience we are taking our business to Ruth’s Chris. We both ordered burgers and had a couple cocktails. My wife ordered her burger medium and mine was medium rare. The cocktails barely beat the food to our table (both good drinks). My burger (a $19 burger at that) came out well done and the fries were cold. I sent mine back because I can’t eat over cooked meat. My wife’s burger was extra well done. All she could taste was a burnt char taste. She’s way too nice to send hers back so she tried to eat it. She only made it halfway before she couldn’t eat it anymore. She informed the waitress of how terrible it was but also didn’t ask for another one because she ate about half. She talked to the manager and they took her burger off the tab. If they hadn’t our lunch would have been $90. That’s an expensive lunch to have both meals taste terrible. The server was great and had no complaints there. The manager NEVER bothered to come by or apologize for the terrible food.

I’ve been here multiple times, and I love it. I usually don’t spend $70 on myself but it was well worth it. The new york strip is like 16oz, and when you go to most fine dining restaurants, a $50 steak consists of a piece no bigger than your fist. You also get enough fries to stop your heart for $7, and the service and atmosphere is stellar. The only complaint is they got rid of the fried onion strings which were amazing to put on top of the steak. Much much MUCH better than Vernons because the staff don’t act like they’re above serving you, and the management doesn’t act like your money means nothing. I will be going back.

Dinner was fabulous, and service was 5 stars. Our waitstaff, Arthur and David were extremely professional, efficient, and knowledgeable; they made sure we were very well taken care of. The salad and rolls were impressive, and our Filet Mignon and Chicken Alexander were cooked to perfection, not to mention, the Cheesecake was also phenomenal This was our first visit to Marcello’s Chophouse, and will not be our last. Thanks to the professionalism of the staff and wonderful chef, we will be returning again. Dina & Felix

Planed our office holiday dinner party two weeks ago and was looking forward to dinning at Marcello’s. I had never been before. We dined there last night… We were a party of ten, I didn’t think that was so bad and it didn’t seem busy. I was not impressed at all. The service wasn’t great, they got our order wrong and forgot our sides. When I asked the waiter about our sides he got upset… The worst part was they over cooked our steaks. I wasn’t going to send my steak back maybe because I’m to humble but wanted the waiter to know that my steak was over cooked. All he said was “oh yeah, that doesn’t look medium rear” and walked off… I don’t think I will ever go back. Very disappointed.

Went Monday for lunch, the employees seems like they didn’t want to be there. Had to wait a long time for a waiter to come to the table even though only one other table was seated. Waiter finally comes to table with a not great personality to take drinks then leaves again for a long time. I order a steak rare ( something I do in case they over cook, I can hang with a medium rare steak but not a well done). Again, waited forever for food and when it arrived, steak was small buried in a pile of fries that would make McDonald feel inferior and way over cooked. Sent it back, again forever passed, this time it came out, and to CHECK THE DONENESS!!! They cut in to the steak in three cuts… Who does that? Poor service poor quality of food for the price, not great at all.

It used to be great. The service impeccable and the food amazing. A real treat for special nights. We went there a couple days after Christmas, we sat for at least 10 minutes until our server approached our table to take a drink order, he took a couple of drink orders and then abruptly disapeared after a man at another table flagged him over- I suppose a more important customer. After that he disappeared for another 10 minutes, came back with a couple of drinks and then finally took our wine order. We ordered oysters to start. They were strangely fat and fishy and unappetizing, so we left half on the plate. The server took them away without asking if theit was anything wrong with them.
Our meals were okay. My bison tenderloin was excellent, which is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars. We were celebrating a birthday. The server brought out a complimentary creme Brule that we only sampled because it was dense and full of curdles. When our server placed it on our table, he made a point to let us know that we shouldn’t expect him to sing Happy Birthday because he did not do that. All in all, the service we received would have been more appropriate at an Olive Garden rather than a chophouse that served 80 dollar steaks- only no singing! Worse!
The bill was 500.00 for 6 people. That night, my husband started feeling sick and nauseated and is just getting over it. He feels his malaise is due to food poisoning and he can’t stand the smell of meat. We will never go back!
