Frozen in time, but in the best way!!! The Forked River Diner has always been a staple for my family, but I recently started going back here after craving a good veggie omlette (and a side of turkey bacon ). We were not disappointed!! Whether it’s lunch or breakfast everything is always perfect…it truly has become a weekend staple for us. Love love love this place!

Open early retro NJ diner. The atmosphere looks like what you want to experience going to a roadside diner. Stainless steel exterior and retro counter and both chairs but all are in excellent condition. The diner is clean and tables and floors spotless.
I went early for breakfast and was able to get their deluxe breakfast for $9. It was two eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links and 2 pancakes. It was fall so I opted for the Pumpkin Pancakes and coffee to drink, of course.
At 6am there were a few locals at the counter quietly eating and talking to the waitress.
The eggs looked perfect and tasted as good as they look in this picture. Presentation was good amd the food was served quick.
The food was very good. I will be back for sure as their menu looked extensive for lunch and dinner and I will have to give some more items a try.
Thet said, I left a piece of toast and half the pancakes as I was full.

What a cool throwback diner!
Very clean and well maintained.
Food was delicious. My sandwich had a good >1/4 of Taylor ham (couldn’t finish it). Chunky monkey pancakes (chocolate chip and banana) were sweet and delectable, even without syrup (but they do give you syrup, so don’t worry).
Well come back for sure.

My mother worked here most of my formative years. When I became an adult, I moved away. While I’ve visited PA over the years I have not been here in over 40 years.
Now that mom is gone, I wanted to walk down memory lane. The food & service didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich.

We greatly enjoyed our breakfast. The food was very good and I particularly loved the pancakes. Food came out quickly and hot. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We definitely will be going back.

1. I haven’t visited the Diner in a while, and there’s no reason not to. The food and service are always solid. I had the lunch special Salisbury Steak and it was quite good. Great meal. Great service Great Value.

The best porkroll sandwich I’ve ever had so far. Huge serving, not too salty and you get 5 generous slices of pork roll. The staff was nice. The place clean and still the original dinner car. I will definitely come back for more. Cash only so make sure you bring change if you don’t want to use the ATM on site that charges a fee. Plenty of parking and by the main drag.

Errands and Breakfast, took a little drive down to Forked River to stop at this Old Style Roadside Diner for some food…
Kit had a Bacon and Cheese Omelette with potatoes on the side.
I had a usual, Pork Roll, Egg, Cheese with Jalapenos and SPK.
Portions were of a good size. No scrimping here on the Pork Roll, not like some of the others throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties who have disappointed me with paper thin slices.
Definitely a place to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch.
