Simply in love with Frida’s Mexica in Pineville! What an incredible experience! The food is unbelievably good — extremely flavorful, well-seasoned, full of character, and made with a care that you can feel in every bite. Everything was delicious.
The atmosphere is wonderful, super cozy, beautiful, and lively in just the right way. There was even a DJ, which made the night even more special and fun, creating an incredible atmosphere. You want to stay there for hours.
Even with the restaurant full, the service was very good. The only detail was the wait for the food, which took about 40 minutes, but honestly, when it arrived at the table, it was totally worth it.
Fantastic experience! I will definitely go back and highly recommend it. Incredible place, impeccable food, and sensational energy!

Best Mexican I’ve had EVER!!! I am picky and have eaten plenty of places. This is the best food since my cruise. Excellent prices. 3.75 stars my friends. The sauces they have developed here our scrumptious and the protein hits the spot. Unfortunately the sides could use some work. The rice lacked any real flavor and the black beans were missing seasoning. But after adding some of Frida’s sauces both were much better. I’ll go again and you should give them a try. One of the better Mexican restaurants in Charlotte.

Where do I begin. The decor? Food? Chill Vibe? Margaritas? All of the above? Yesssss. The only problem I had was coming to the realization that I am not a local and can’t visit this restaurant again tomorrow. Our server, Jose, was all smiles and a super friendly attitude to match. We had the empanadas, street corn, wings, and guava and passion fruit margaritas. Jose checked on us often and gave some dynamite suggestions. Visit Fridas for a wonderful and authentic meal.

The service was stellar from the start, thanks to Abby, our beautiful waitress, who served us with a genuine, constant smile. We felt totally taken care of!
For drinks, the Lychee Sangria pitcher was exceptional—made fresh to order with real fruit.
We loved the interactive experience of the bartender pouring our glasses right at the table!
The food was the true highlight, starting with warm, fresh, crisp chips and wonderful salsa.
For the main event, the Birria Tacos (beef or lamb) were phenomenal, with oozing mozzarella, fresh cilantro, onions, and lime, served perfectly with that essential consume.
The Shrimp Empanadas were crispy and piping hot, filled generously with vegetables, mozzarella, and shrimp.
And the presentation of the Elote (Street Corn) was impeccable! It was served as a full ear, one half beautifully coated with chili powder, sour cream, and mayo.

SUPER friendly and you could tell he really cared about making sure we had a great time!!! When we had questions about the menu, he didn’t just give quick answers; he actually took the time to explain dishes, make thoughtful recommendations, and check on any dietary preferences.
His timing was perfect throughout the entire meal. Drinks arrived quickly, and the food came out just when we were ready for it. Jose checked in often enough to make sure everything was going well, but never interrupted the flow of our conversation. Abby was amazing, she was our server and took very great care of us. She was attentive and friendly and recommended unbelievable dishes to us! Their flautas (in the picture) were muy rico, ask for the salsa verde it’s an awesome addition. We also ordered the fridas ceviche and it will be the best y’all have ever tried. Anything you order will be divine, I recommend coming there every week haha. Thank you so much to this restaurant for always being so welcoming and making us just feel so happy to be there 🙂

I was a little worried, about the things that are happening in NC, because there are many people I love, and they are in danger, and I saw Fridas’s Mexican Cantina, I arrived alone, I sat at the bar. The bar is small, but how nice, Gonzalo served me, his drinks are delicious, he makes them with love, and one feels it. And the place is beautiful. The Manager is very helpful. Thank you for giving us such wonderful experiences! And The food is delicious!
